Terrible service. I regret purchasing from this company. I paid for a laptop on the morning of Friday 23rd December 2022 23rd at 10:43am I get a whatsapp to say my order has been cleared. Saturday 24th I get the following email: "Your order is on the way. Track your shipment to see the delivery status" - but no tracking number is given. After asking where the laptop is, I get this message on their Whatsapp number, g"Please note that the order for the HP laptop is currently out for delivery". Then it's confirmed I will get delivery that day - Friday 30th December 2022. When I ask later why it hasn't arrived, I get this message, "Please note that our deliveries are handled by a staff member of Strinova once it has reached the depo." I then ask for the waybill/tracking number and the contact person and get this reply, "The staff member will make direct communication with you as they have your address and contact information" Then this message, "If it hasn't already [arrived], expect it before 16h00" Next the first excuse, "We have been notified of a dispute, therefore awaiting clearance before delivering." Then this message, "The delivery was in progress. Awaiting clearance for the driver." After that all my Whatsapp messages get ignored. Not one of my 3 emails were responded to. Today, 3 January 2023 I try to get an answer from their web bot, and I get this message, "Please note that your order is with our delivery team." Again emails get ignored and so do Whatsapp messages. I regret purchasing from them and regardless of any [possible] forthcoming apology I will never do business with this company again. Their prices were very competitive, but I'd much rather pay marginally more and deal with a professional company.
Representative was knowledgeable and efficient
On 18/7/2022 I lodged a claim for windscreen repair. It was approved the same day. I was told that a repair agent would contact me. Later that day they did contact me. I was pleased with the service so far. I was told by the repairer that I would need to pay a R500 excess fee. They would send me the banking details to pay the R500 via SMS. They didn't send the SMS. I phoned them to ask for the banking details. The phone disconnected while phoning them. I tried twice. The call was dropped. The agent knew who I was and what the claim number was, but never called back. I sent Miway an email I contacted Miway via their Whatsapp line On 26/7/2022 I got through to a Miway agent who said they would get the repair agent to call me. Still no call. After waiting a full week, I still have not heard from the repair agent and MiWay can't be bothered to check if my vehicle has been repaired. Terrible service
<p>I submitted a claim and was told a panelbeater would contact me which they did. Miway authorised the claim within 2 days. However the panelbeater would not order the parts or accept my vehicle until I paid 50% of the excess. Then the story was that I needed to pay 100% of the excess. Then it was back to 50% of the excess. The excuse was they needed me to bring the car in to determine the VIN number. When I complained to Miway as to why I as the customer had to negotiate with the panelbeater, I was told that I needed to pay the excess as stipulated in my contract. Fair enough.</p> <p> </p> <p>The last claim I lodged, I needed to pay the panelbeater when I collected my vehicle. I got a courtesy vehicle from AVIS. This time, the panelbeaters said that they would order the parts and when they have arrived, they will call me to let me know to bring the car in. If Miway had approved the claim, I'm wondering why the panelbeaters couldn't just get the parts then. Now it's made to seem that I am holding up my own claim. Shoddy service to say the least. I received a quote from another insurance company for 25% off my current premium price and will be leaving Miway next month</p>
