Never use please. I took my expensive blackout lined curtains for a cleaning and they are totally ruined. I originally called and asked if they do this type of curtaining and on the phone he was very nice and said yes of course (very often), no problem. When my daughter dropped them off , the man at the desk said please sign a waiver as once in a while we have an issue with the backing shrinking.I told her to do this as I had already called and he assured me they were professionals. When I went to collect he wanted to charge me the R1000 quoted, (which I refused to pay for he to totally ruin my curtains) and he just stood there without apologizing and said we have a waiver. He had said very calmly that the curtains had gone a little black at the back, and let him show me a set that did the same. He never opened my package. Then promptly started chatted to his friend at the end of the end and saying this happens so often. Well if this happens so often, perhaps DON'T do it! he should surely know curtains, its his business! So when I got home I was horrified to see not only the black that he had said was an issue (apparently sun damage) but the backing was literally in pieces and some melted to the back, and large portions of backing missing. I even tried to donate them, and the charity said thanks but we cant use them.So now they will be donated to a animal shelter as bedding. Very disappointed customer.

Hi

I am so upset about the after sales service I received from Katay, I have decided to take to Hello Peter for the frst time. Just to warn people that a boat can cost more than expected if things go wrong and there is a lack of professional and fair after sales service.

After purchasing a boat for over half a million rand from the company, I had an issue by what seemed to be an oil leak. The man at Waterworld advised me I should not be buying so much oil and I should get the boat checked before my general 6 month warrenty expired.

After I asked Katay to come and check (which took over a month) and I stated I believed it was a warrenty claim. They towed the boat back to their premises after inspection (even that was done after stripping my trailer tyre, but to be fair they replaced) and once they had it in the store they told me the warrenty was never 6 months (an industry norm?) and the reservior had perished. This was for my cost, although I had bought the boat not six months before. And ended up saying to me its like a second hand car, things happen.

Just the unhelpful attitude and lack of fairness leaves a bad taste, they did not even try and meet us half way. They charged full price for the repairs, labour and also wanted to charge a R1200 transport costs, which was quite a shock. When we had purchased the boat we had asked about annual services and what the costs to get the boat to them would be, and were told thats was a service that they offer as they like to build long term relationships with their customers.

Just sad that I will not encourage anyone to buy a boat from them as their after sales service was so disappointing, although I will say their one staff member was as expectionally helpful, although it would seem his hands were tied.
