<p>In 2014 I decided to do a lot of research and visited various stores before making a purchase on a good quality mattress. I eventually bought a 152cm Orthopaedic Essential mattress on the 12/11/2014 for 5,900.00 from Bed City 16 Raats Drive, Parklands, Cape Town. Tel 021- ********** Sale No.5039</p> <p>I believe that the Sales Representatives name was Marinda if I am not mistaken. I informed her that I would need the mattress to be delivered at the latest by Friday 28/11/2014 as I would be relocating from Cape Town to a Town called Vanderkloof in the Northern Cape on the 29/11/2014</p> <p>The mattress was delivered as promised but I was unable to inspect the mattress as it was covered in double plastic and felt it unnecessary at the time as I was still busy packing and would inspect the mattress as soon as I had relocated to the new premises.</p> <p>Once I had relocated I decided to remove the plastic from the mattress and noticed that there were some odd defects/flaws in the material at the foot of the mattress. I immediately contacted the Sales Represensative Marinda who had sold the mattress to me and since the mattress was still under warranty I decided to send her some photo's of the defects via my phone.</p> <p>Marinda apologized and informed me that she would immediatley contact their Bloemfontein branch who would be contacting me shortly and send a Rep out to inspect the mattress. She also said that it looked like a Factory fault and that once they had inspected the mattress they would replace it with a new mattress with no extra charges and she would ask them to throw in two extra pillows for the inconvenience caused.</p> <p>I had never slept on the mattress as I decided to recover it with the plastic and slept in the guest bedroom while waiting for a call from Bed City Bloemfontein to send their Rep out to inspect the mattress which has to never materialized to this day.</p> <p>Month after month had gone by and no one has ever had the decency to call me especially the Sales Represensitive Marinda. She has never had the moral dencency to follow up on my complaint or even call me. Yet, she was very quick to take my money and tell me such wonderful stories how dedicated Bed City is to their cutomers and if a customer was not satisfied with their mattress or had the slightest problem they wouldn't hesitate to change the mattress until their customers were happy. (I now believe that she would say anything just to make a sale).</p> <p>I had to continuesley call her due to her lack of interest with my complaint and her response was always the same that she would give them a call and they would call me back to make the necessary arrangements for inspection that I just needed to be patient as they will get back to me as soon as they can.</p> <p>Three months ago I decided since Bed City hasn't had the decency to respond to my complaint since December 2014 I decided to sleep on the mattress to test it out and found myself waking up three to four times during the night and ended up with back pain which made it very difficult to fall sleep and felt very tired the next morning.</p> <p>This has gone on far too long and I am very dissapointed with the lack of response and poor customer service. I believe this is totally unprofessional and unethical and I don't believe this is a good relection on your Company especially in times like these Bed City.</p> <p>It is now 2017 and I have yet to hear a single logical explanation as to why I have never had a response from you Bed City. </p>
