If I was able to give them 0 *stars i would totally do that! I have been to Beer house probably about 3 to 4 times before yesterday/last night. Beer house employed a new Manager Jason who is not only arrogant, he flat out does not have any managerial s****s at all. The staff are friendly toward tourist only!!!! If you are a shade darker expect to receive no service at ALL!!!! We were a group of 8 people which booked a table through Jason for the terrace (preferably). At the time of making this reservation, there was no mention of any complications with regards to booking outside. When we arrived at the establishment we were not greeted, not offered assistance or anything but rather received alot of "ATTITUDE" from the employees working there. We inquired about the reservation and was told Jason the new manager made the reservation but he is new, so when he made the reservation he should have informed our party that we cannot sit outside. Jason never once came to the table to apologize to us but was rather hiding with employees and would not divulge his name! Such a shame!(If i could use the proper language on this platform I would). They started removing tables on the terrace while we were trying to eat and have a good time. Apparently this is normal when they have their Quiz night and that is the most important customer. I tried speaking to a "Manager" Jason was the only guy which was not called at anytime but I rather had to overhear staff shout his name. I waited at the bar for 5 minutes(if not more) trying to order a drink. No staff member acknowledged I was there and merely just wanted to drink a beer(was so hot in town). I had a go at the lad after waiting a good 5 minutes just to be seen to while they busy fooling around behind the bar! (swearing at each other, shouting at the person at the back, shouting at the manager, counting cash like they never seen any) When I eventually spoke to a gentleman behind the bar, I informed him how this day has been a disaster for us. The man responded with the following: "What do you want?" I replied and said: "Nothing, I am a paying customer just like all the other people here, I do not want free things, I want my *hi* for now and demand service". He apologized to me for the service etc. "Sorry, sorry neh, are you sure you dont want anything".? The manager Jason was amidst all this at the bar(I did not even know he was the manager till I overheard the staff talking about him). He asked me if we drink Caramel Vodka to which I replied yes. I am still waiting for them! I later bumped into the lad and asked in a joke can we still expect our caramel vodkas which he offered and I declined a million times, his response was: " I sent my GM(General Manager) a message and waiting for his response". Pathetic service. The food I couldn't fault. The beer always a HIT!(Hence beer house) The staff pathetic@!@(snobs@!**unts) The manager doesn't have hospitality background, he looks more like he should be working on cars. Give these people training please! They are destroying your business! If they judge you to not have money(mostly if you a shade darker) you are in for a horror movie which just does not stop playing. If and a big IF!) I ever set my feet in this place again I would have to walk in there with a open mind! I am still traumatized by all that faces just looking at you! No warmth! No hospitality. GENERAL MANGER: Please sort out this staffing issue! This is not an establishment for foreigners only(tourist etc) This is a joint where locals can come and have a good time but we get robbed of that because of color(such a shame) ethos(looks like money, mainly tips is your staffs motivation and if you are 'judged' to not have any or little your horror movie will begin! Which is total and utter B!@#$$%% . I would like a formal apology from all the staff working last night! The gentleman that was fighting with me because I wanted to order a beer and his "shift ended" already. Jason the manager needs to apologize for his mess he cause and never came to our table once!!!!!! to apologize. TRAIN THEM! GIVE THEM incentives! Drive them! Motivate them! So that the customer does not get this treatment. Utterly disappointing experience from the 4 times I've been to Beer house!!!!!! *(Excuse the grammar and punctuation! I am still fuming)
<p>So on Tuesday 1st August at around 11h45 I decide because it is raining I can order in something and watch series the whole day! Worst experience or choice ever!!!! After downloading the app and putting in my address it brings restaurants closest to me I can order from! Obviously I dont want to collect, I want it delivered because If I wanted to collect it, I wouldnt have bothered with anything. So my payment went through on my card and i receive and email and sms saying:Hi Andre, we've received your order for delivery from Debonairs Pizza Plumstead :) Review your order at http://yum.bi/WIfyzcEvvg</p> <p> </p> <p>I think okay this is cool. Next 15-20mins I get a phone call from the so called Manager at the branch. This lady told me we will not be delivering your order as you are too far outside of our parameters. So she proceed to ask me how far I am from Plumbstead? So I am like really lady? You seriously asking me how far I am after you just told me I am not in range and its not like I drive from my house to plumstead to check the kilometers. I told the manager surely the app wouldnt have brought up their shop if I couldnt get my delivery from there. She continues to argue with me that they will not be delivering the order and asks if I cannot collect it????? At this point I am really annoyed. I ask her to please just refund my card and do what she feels because she is clearly not listening to my points. I then drop the phone. </p> <p> </p> <p>Hours later (about 4hour) their boss from the branch calls me to apologize. The same manager called him because she was worried. The man comes up with feable excuses. Telling me the Manager is new to the shop and they shouldve delivered your pizzas and that is unacceptable. He then asks me if they must still deliver the pizzas but thats only if the card was not refunded yet because if the card was refunded already I will have to pay for a second time to get these pizzas delivered to me!!!!! R209.00 ORDER!!!! i have to replace the order after 4hours just so that you can proof to me that you can actually deliver my pizzas I ordered, which will now cost me double the money?????? Really?????? Why did you bother to call????? Why???? Then he starts telling me how he fired people and he cant fire anymore people for the same mistakes?????? </p> <p> </p> <p>In my head I am thinking these people need proper training. </p> <p> </p> <p>He proceeds to tell me how much a driver gets per trip and because I am far out they wont do it because they think it will take them longer so they might lose out on money!!!!!! What a joke! </p> <p> </p> <p>All he basicly said was I am sorry brother! The rest was a bunch of garbage he fed me and I had to listen to him talk about his employees in a bad light for over 10mins!!!!! I mean I dont work in HR at Debonairs Mr. OWNER. He then tells me if/when their customer service agents call me I should give them a good rating although he knows they never delivered the pizzas, but he knows they will get it right the next time I order from there!!!! No wrong i am not ordering with you ever again! I JUST WANTED TO ORDER A FEW PIZZAS TO ENJOY WITH MY FAMILY. They promised me my card will be refuned and the money will be in my account in 24hours!!!!!!!! </p> <p> </p> <p>Yesterday at around 22h00 i write a email to info@debonairs for them to contact me as I am still waiting for my refund and I would like to speak to someone regarding this bad service! This morning I get an sms saying:Your card payment of R 209.90 to Debonairs Pizza Plumstead has been refunded. The refund may take up to 48 hours. Really????????? Really???????????? So you only processed my refund this morning???????</p> <p> </p> <p>No care in the world. Excuses. No one calling the customer to rectify their mistakes they made! What a joke! They should either fix their app! Stop letting the drivers dictate where they want to deliver and where not! Or everyone needs to go for proper training on all their systems!</p> <p> </p> <p>I will never order another pizza at Debonairs Plumstead because clearly it is all about the money and no care for customer satisfaction. </p>
