On 16 July I flew SAA to Seychelles for business. My luggage got lost and arrived on 18 July. I reported my lost luggage to SAA via there website, hoping to claim for expenses incurred due for clothing and toiletries.

Their response was

Good afternoon Ian Mackenzie

Thank you for the email. This claim belongs to Malaysia Airlines as it was reported with them hence you were given reference number SEZMH30626. Please kindly make contact with them to find out how best they can assist with this claim.

Kind regards

Thokoza Ngxingweni

How this is possible is beyond me. I booked and flew SAA. The JHBG-Seychelles leg is a code share with Air Seychelles. On arrival I reported my loss to airport officials and was give the reference number quoted. On what grounds can they now try and refer me to Air Malaysia. My partner, who flew Air Seychelles on the same flight reported her loss to Air Seychelles, using the same reference number and her claim has been processed, so trying to pretend this Reference number is Air Malayisa seems to be a method to deter me from claiming. Sine pointing this out to SAA, they have not responded.
