BABY R US - BAD SERVICE, POOR MANAGEMENT! Vanessa, the manager at Cape Gate Babies R us, should not be managing at that store. My husband purchased a product there for me with his debit card as a gift for me. It was not practical and so I returned it the next day. My husband was at work and could not accompany. Vanessa refused to refund me without my husband being present with his debit card so that they can refund him to his card?? She wanted to give me a voucher. I refused the voucher. I looked at my receipt. I showed her that the receipt clearly states that a refund will be given within 30 days of the return of the product in its packaging and with the receipt, which I provided. Vanessa insisted that they can only refund me the cash in the same manner that it was purchased - via the debit card - which I did not have as it was purchased for me from my husband with his card. At this point, I was very frustrated and near the point of tears and feeling very helpless as the manager had refused to assist in refunding me for a product that was purchased the day before that I was not happy with and had provided a receipt for - not to mention that I sat in 45 min traffic to get there and she was insisting that I come back when my husband is available with his debit card. I mentioned to her that I cannot believe that she is going to allow me as the customer to leave her store feeling so unsatisfied with their product, their service, and their store. Whereas in previous years, the manager would not dare allow his customer to leave his store unhappy, and perhaps not only have refunded me, but given me a voucher as well. I will NEVER shop at Babies R Us again. I will also be spreading this via word of mouth and social media to anyone that even thinks of shopping there.
