Absolutely terrible managing agent, failed to present financials, no AGM for 4 years and when the going gets tough, they ghost you. I never want to encounter them again
I’ve been having a terrible experience with Sanlam Life. Things go to automated mailbox and nobody gets back to you. Someone from the retirement annuity department needs to sign for the ROT send by Ddiscovery for my claim. It was sent to Sanlam 07 and 12 March 2025 but they have not received the signed ROT back.
I’m getting the absolute worst service from Assupol. I submitted my maturity claim form, 3 weeks later not a single acknowledgement of my submission. When I phone I get sent from pillar to post. They say you must wait 7-10 working days till payout but it’s been well over that. They promise to reply within 3hrs of receiving your mail, still I don’t have an update or payout. Hate it!
Policy number: 256/893/ ********** 6184 From the day i got my quote, things have not be good with Santam. Really regretting joining you guys. The lady who gave me my quote took forever and she wasn't clear or understood how to read me my policy or confirm what my excess was. Then when i eventually accepted the policy, the guy who called me captured important info like address, reg number and debit order date incorrectly. I made it very clear in that call where i accepted the policy that i only want my policy to commence on the 28th August as i am currently insured with another insurer. He assured me it will only start on the 28th. Last week, i got debited R2,283.12 which returned due to insufficient funds, now my bank has charged me R100 for an unpaid debit order which i would like a refund from Santam on the bank charges. This upsets me because this unpaid debit order will affect my credit rating. I'm also upset because even after i called last week Thursday, my incorrect details were still not fixed and the policy is still active and nobody has bother to return to my email i sent to ********** This is such poor service, really disappointed. You are supposed to be "insurance "good and proper"
