Makro - Pathetic returns service (beware!)
Absolutely unacceptable service from Makro Cape Gate. Never ever buy Samsung products from Makro. I bought a R2k+ microwave and took it in to Makro in the first six months because it sounded like something is loose on the inside. They sent it in for repair and it came back the same. The problem then escalated and I took it in again. I made the Makro returns staff switch on the microwave in the store and still had the same problem (confirmed by Makro staff) AND it now had three dents on the microwave top. Macro just phoned me again to come and collect my microwave!! Cannot believe the pathetic service I am getting and why they can't issue a credit for this defective and damaged (by themselves) product. I am getting a lawyer to resolve this issue.

Poor quality work and service by Garden Cities!
I would like to post a complaint against Garden Cities in Cape Town. I bought a property in Pinehurst about 2 years ago. Garden Cities built this house. My home is just over 6 years old and the tiles in my living room just popped out a couple of months ago. I tried to claim from the insurance, which indicated that they will not honor my claim due to defective workmanship. I had another building contractor inspect the damage and he informed me that he has never seen such poor quality work. On questioning the developer about the quality of their work I got a bad attitude from them, they were being dishonest and didn't even have the professional courtesy to send someone to inspect the damage. I am so disappointed because I bought this place thinking that Garden Cities deliver good quality properties. I was very wrong - Please be aware if you are thinking of purchasing a property from these guys. They build for quantity, not quality. You will end up paying much more when you have to redo your home's flooring in a couple of years.
