Faulty Goods
Fridge doesn't work. Was purchased on 25 November 2025 but as it was a Christmas gift was only discovered in December 2025 that it did not work. Company hiding behind the 7 days return policy. I must now run around and get the item repaired by the manufacturer. Not even an apology received.

Managed Healthcare - I think not!
Discovery Health is supposed to be managed Healthcare. I was recently unexpectedly admitted to hospital. The Discovery case manager assured me that she was managing my case. I was in hospital for 11.5 days. Discovery only covered 6. My doctor uodsted Discovery and still nothing get paid as it would seem that the case manager isn’t actually managing my case. A month has passed. I have soent hours on the phone with Discovery. It is now time for top management to get involved. I am due for admission again on 1 Dec and will be held liable for the outstanding account of R20 000 due to the hospital.

Poor customer care
Slushie machine broke after being used less than 10 times and was less than a year old. All product used in the machine was purchased from Soft Ice. The reason the workshop gave for the gears on the machine breaking was due to use of low sugar concentration in the slushie mix. I explained to Werner the workshop manager that they (their sales staff) had admitted to having a problem with their blue mix (Rasberry) and that was the mix that we had used in the machine when the gears were broken. I requested that they reduce the cost of repair as the fault was not on my side entirely and was refused. I asked to escalate my complaint to the owner of the company as told told no. I will buy from an alternative supplier in the future.

Discovery Health - on a downward slide
It has been 8 months and I have written numerous negative reviews and Discovery Health has still not activated my diabetes dashboard. I have now received a letter stating that they will not pay for my chronic diabetes medication. The medications that I was on previously did not lower my sugar level, but the one drug that does, they refuse to cover. Well done Discovery!

Rude Agents - Discovery Health
It is totally unacceptable when a Discovery Coach (specialised function) hangs up in your ear when you ask for your issues to be escalated to a manager. (and no, the line did not drop - Lorraine HUNG UP ON ME.

Discovery Health
I wrote a poor review of Discovery Health as after 3 reviews they had still not resolved my issue. They have rep**** to my review on this platform stating that they were in contact with me to resolve the issue. This is a complete lie. Going from bad to worse Discovery!

Discovery - fading away
Three months later and Discovery have still not activated my Score-Card for my Chronic Condition. I have wasted hours on the phone when I should be working yet still no resolution. Agents do not follow through or call back. I only receive attention when I place a negative review on this forum.

Dishonest and disrespectful.
Booking was rudely cancelled by Ken a week before the wedding. Although Ken originally promised to return the deposit he is now refusing to do so. The dams at Brookwood are contaminated with sewerage. (A Mogale City issue) but Brookwood's chalets are lovely. Unfortunately co-owner Ken is dishonest, disrespectful and need to learn to behave in an appropriate manner. All our original arrangement were made with Dave who was accommodating but unfortunately away during the time that the issue arose.

Discovery, are you sinking? Is it time to jump ship?
My simple query from 7 February 2024 has still not been resolved. I have complained on Hello Peter.com and received all the appropriate responses but no action! Have been totally ignored. Well done Discovery - you are really not instilling confidence in your long standing clients. I never expected Discovery to fall so quickly and so hard. You are failing your clients. I am concerned for the future. Should I get out now before the crash?

Frustrated with Discovery
Have been trying for 3 days to get assistance. I hold for an extended period of time and then the agent cuts me off before even speaking to me. The website doesn't work properly, the app has issues and the telephone does not get answer. The bot is totally useless. The agent and the app given me different information.
