I am absolutely disgusted with the service—or lack thereof—from Soft-Ice Catering Equipment in Montana, Pretoria. A year ago, I purchased a slush machine for my business. In just 12 months, I have had to transport this machine from Johannesburg to Pretoria FOUR TIMES for repairs. This isn’t just a "glitch"; it is a defective product. The machine constantly leaks, and this morning it tripped my power, resulting in a massive loss of business for the day. While my other machine has run perfectly for 10 years, this Soft-Ice unit is a liability. What is worse is the "manager," James. When I called to resolve this, I was told he "wasn't available" the moment he realized it was me. He is literally hiding from a paying customer. The staff refuse to provide the director's details, and despite my emails being read at 8:00 AM, I have been ignored for over 12 hours. Soft-Ice treats warranty repairs like they are doing me a "huge favour," ignoring the fact that under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), I am entitled to a machine that actually works. I am no longer interested in "favours" or a fifth failed repair. I want a full refund or a brand-new replacement. To anyone considering buying from them: be warned. If your machine breaks, you will be ignored, and your business will suffer. Desired Resolution: Full Refund or Replacement.

Slushie machine broke after being used less than 10 times and was less than a year old. All product used in the machine was purchased from Soft Ice. The reason the workshop gave for the gears on the machine breaking was due to use of low sugar concentration in the slushie mix. I explained to Werner the workshop manager that they (their sales staff) had admitted to having a problem with their blue mix (Rasberry) and that was the mix that we had used in the machine when the gears were broken. I requested that they reduce the cost of repair as the fault was not on my side entirely and was refused. I asked to escalate my complaint to the owner of the company as told told no. I will buy from an alternative supplier in the future.

Bought a slush/soft serve machine from them. It works. The ordering online process is a bit of a drag. If you are in a rush rather go buy in-store not online. Staff was very friendly at the shop.

Disgusting customer service and dishonesty. They were quick to take my money, NOT send a final Invoice but request payment on a pro forma invoice , and now refuse to refund me. No original invoice was issued to me, and they say it was with the items delivered, but was not there.. The Manager has no peoples or communication skills and insinuated that I was being dishonest about having an Invoice. Why would I do that if I am wanting my money back????? He has a copy of the original invoice, yet none was emailed to me and goods were falsely advertised as well. What shown on website is not what was received.!!!!!

Service schocking. They are very quick to take your money and sell you products that can't actually do the job. When you return with a problem they have got 10 000 excuses. Be very careful when choosing your catering equipment supplier. My product only lasted 20 minutes
