Stay Dates: 1-7 Oct. We booked a family room. When we arrived all was in order, a cot set up for our baby and sufficient towels&amenities(cosmetics, tea/coffee) for our little kids and us. It was the perfect welcome to our family holiday in Istanbul! Breakfast: From Monday -Sat morning: We had to request they clean and set up a table for us and privide cutlery etc... Tables were not cleaned on the turn (4* Hotel). Our room: Every evening on our return from exploring beautiful Istanbul, we were welcomed to a poorly cleaned unstocked room. Every evening on our return my wife would have to call and request cosmetics, clean cups, towels, tea/coffee. It felt like we were begging for supplies that are bASIC ESSENTIALS. We even ran out of toilet paper and had to use hotel communal bathrooms at the breakfast area!My wife filed a formal complaint with the Manager on duty Tuesday evening... all it got us was on our last day there the room was NOT cleaned. We were welcomed home on our last eve to a dirty room! The "make-up room" sign was still on the door. Management was slack&uninterested when we reported it. They came up to our room and 25min later sent us 4 BATH MATS to shower with, no toiletries and didn't even clean our trash as promised. All we got was a useless sorry! (Bearing in mind the night before our baby was sick and vomited, which the hotel was aware of as they sent us a clean sheet. My wife even rinsed off the pillows and sheets as best she could early hours of that morn&gave it to them when they brought clean linen up). As Hilton Honours members we were disgusted with our treatment. I'm sure if we stayed in a backpackers or self catering accommodation we would of had a better experience and felt valued as guests. We have stayed in Hilton hotels before and the staff in this hotel are a DISGRACE!
