Worse Customer service by far, I am now sitting incurring additional security costs as Macdonald Steel PMB cannot deliver and cannot refund my money. I placed an order and paid for it about a week ago after numerous delivery promises nothing has arrived onsite. I am not only loosing money for security paying a security guard who is sitting onsite waiting but also loosing 14.4% PA of the money as that is what Standard bank is charging me for the funds sitting with Macdonald Steel.
the Gearbox for my truck was taken in for a strip and quote job earlier this year, I collected the unit last Thursday 25/06/20 just to find out that basically all the parts that were not mentioned on the report as being damaged or broken were missing. I sent them an email advising them of the missing parts, the following day I again made the 158km x 2 trip to their deport for collection of the missing parts. A few were giving to me and not the critical ones, now almost 7 days have elapsed and still their are parts missing, I have spoken to the Manager and even phoned the Director but still I dont have the parts. on 1/07/2020 I received a call where they were requesting for the vin number for the truck son that they can try locate or replace the parts. In this case, I have paid for the service (strip and quote) but what I am receiving is a run around due to poor house keeping and lack of respect for the customers time and assets.
I have had an account with Time-freight for over a year, Acc: GV00410, to which I had paid more that what was due, I have not used their service for at-least 8 months due to a past bad experience. I have not since March 2020 been trying to get a refund for the R900 odd rand surplus on my account, to which I have now been send from post to pillar. Yesterday I received a June Monthly statement, indicating that I have been paid and the account is R0.00, which is not a true reflection of the account status as no payment has been made. We are now starting a 4th Month of battling for my R900 and it isn't just a nuisance but a waste of time chasing R900 which their account department seem to have squandered judging by the incorrect statement. What else must I do to get my money back from this thieving company?
I would like to express my utter discuss at the service received at NMIDSM Commercial in Inandi Drive. I was in the process of purchasing a truck which I inspected and found faulty, the salesperson undertook to have them sorted intime of my second inspection and requested that I transfer a deposit to allow the company to correct the fault, which I did, with the understanding that every cent will be refunded if I am not happy. On the day of the 2nd and final tests, we discovered that the faults were still there and got the salesperson to witness the tests. I then sent an email as perviously communicated with the salesperson advising the I will not be proceeding with the sales and request for a refund to be deposited into my account by 30/10/2017. Now today 7/11/2017 after making a follow seeing the money has not reflected into my account, I am told, by the sales person that the delay was due to it being month end. This statement basically means that my refund is less of a priorty to them as its month end. One would expect that an organisation this big would have a clear refund policy which is communicated effectively to all salesperson, so that they advise the potential Clients accordingly. Because of the above run around with my refund, I have lost a potential contract as I am unable to present my vihecle in time. I would also appeal to the Company to put measures inplace so that Clients are not presented which vehicle which are not mechanically sound - this must be part of your own quality checks. As the sale above would off been a rip-off if I did not bring in experience drivers to test the truck twice. The is an unsuspecting Client out there who is going to get caught out by being sold a mechanically defective truck and have to pay for repairs in access of R20K a month later.
