I often have breakfast at Europe in the Rosebank mall and always love their food. I ordered the “three tenors” breakfast this morning and was very disappointed- when my food was delivered I was trying to send a text and went outside (3 meters from my table) and was back at my table within 15 seconds). My food was cold -especially my bacon- I politely ( and I mean politely) spoke to the manager saying that I suppose they have pre made bacon and eggs and I reiterated that I always eat here and that the food has always been good - I said I don’t want any discounts but just a courstesy headsup to the manager, I think the bacon was pre made as it was cold. I spoke to him behind the brick counter and I was not even upset - it was more the fact the food always is so good and today it was cold - he immediately was upset and told me “ I should keep that to myself as it is not true” when I tried to contextualise he was very upset and kept on interrupting me- he had a very bad attitude towards me and I told him I am not upset , I just wanted to alert him to the fact that my food was cold - he said I spent the whole time on the phones - which I have not done - I did not make a single call as will be evident from my phone records. His attitude got even worse to the extend that when I ask him if he wishes me to leave he just kept quiet and ignored me - I then asked for the owners number to complain and he refused to divulge the number or for the owner to phone me . It was very unfortunate, I never once even raised my voice but he made it clear thT he does not believe me and said I caused my food to be cold by talking on the phone the whole time - no apology was given.
