I received a call today 06/02/2018 from a lady following up on payment for my gym membership and stated that I need to pay 6 months worth of gym payments or I will be handed over to their lawyers. I was quite confused as to what payment due to an ordeal of me been debited twice a month last year over two consecutive months . I sent 2 emails to query these unauthorized debit orders but it was read and not responded to (I have the emails of read receipts as well as the emails I sent, in which I highlighted the amounts debited on my bank statements for two months). After numerous calls to head office as to why my emails were never responded to, their phone just rang so I didnt receive any assistance via their telephone as well as their email. I thereafter proceeded to the gym at the Ridge personally on 27/10/2017 and spoke to an employee of the gym who I explained my concerns to and asked him to cancel my contract as the service at the gym was appalling. He assured me that I would be removed from the system and my debit query would be forwarded to Head office. I thereafter went to my bank and put a stop order on allowing Stylez gym to debit my account as I was not the only member at the gym been debited twice!!! (if you read their reviews on their facebook page, it speaks for itself). Since the whole ordeal on 27th October, I have not gymed at Stylez as I was aware that my contract had been cancelled and I had even disposed of the membership card. I will not be paying for a membership that I asked to be cancelled.
