Give credit where it is due. I lodged a complaint on Sunday, and the feedback and service I have received was excellent! The source of my complaint was poor communication and the Vumatel team really tried to rectify and adress my complaint as well as technical problem! Thank you, I appreciate this! And thank you to your technical staff that were at my residence!
I logged a fault on Friday, when we phoned they said the Saturday afternoon shift will attend to our fault. When no one came, or contacted us, I phoned again and got a very rude call center person. He said they have no turn around on a fault, as the the maintenance department will get to it when they get to it? I asked for that department to contact me as he had zero information to share, and he said he would escalate it! Needless to say, the 48 hrs that I was originally promised by my service provider is about to expire, and absolutely no effort from vumatel! If I don’t phone them, nothing happens
On the 9 February I got back my vehicle, which had gone in for clutch repairs. On 1 March to my surprise my vehicle broke down due to not being able to go in gears, clutch problem according to me. I contacted RDM and they came to check my vehicle, they told me if they find the problem to be what they previously worked on they wouldn’t charge me, new repairs I would have to pay. Later I phoned them, (yes I had to follow up) and the gentleman who answered said they had identified the problem, a pipe needed to be replaced. But they wouldn’t charge me for Labour only parts, this impressed me as I felt like a valued customer. Today I got my vehicle back and lo and behold I had been charged labour. When I phoned to follow up, the gentleman denied the no labour charge and asked the name of the man I spoke to? When I voiced my dissatisfaction and said I would not be return customer, he said he understands. Moral of the story, for R180 they lost a repeat customer, after having spent R4900.
