RDM AUTO SERVICE To get good service these days are hard to come by, therefore it is necessary to inform my fellow friends, family, and friends I do not know yet, where to get value for money, after my Mercedes 5 year service plan expired I searched for a service station that is not too expensive to service my car and one that I can trust with my Merc. I approached several popular service stations to get quotes from, the last quote got from RDM, they were not the cheapest but my gut told me to use their services and trust them. When I dropped my car off I noticed how clean and organized the service area was. The owner Laza immediately offered to drop me off at home and promised to pick me up again later to collect my car again. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my car back and was very satisfied with the service, the car was clean when I collected it. My car was booked in again for service on the second of March 2021 and once again I was very pleased with the service. I want to recommend this service station to everyone, not only they charged almost half the price for a service, they go out of their way to please their customers. You get some places that after you use their services you become enemies and you never use them again, but with RDM you become friends. DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, TRY THEM WELL DONE LAZA YOU IMPRESSED ME ONCE AGAIN Regards Carl van der Westhuizen GIVE THT MAN A BELLS

We always ready to complain about the bad service you experience then you receive excellent service and nobody takes the time to show your appreciation for good service received. I want to share the experiences that I had when I took my car for a service at RDM, When I arrived a the garage I was welcomed by the owner Mr Laza Lazarevic and I was impressed the moment I walk into the service area, everything was clean and spotless, the staff very friendly and professional. The car was booked in and the owner immediately drives my home and collect me again after the service is done. My car was serviced half the price what I was quoted by agents, it was washed and I must say that I will recommend everybody to first get a quote before you let anybody service your car, what impresses me also was how clean the garage was, previously I paid R2336 for four spark plugs that were supposed to last for 90,000klm after this emergency repair, three months later I booked my car in for a serves at a Mercedes agency and again they replace the spark plugs that were previously replaced. I ask the mechanic why did he replace the plugs? did he not see that it is still new, I ask them for my old plugs, the Mercedes mechanic, fetch the old plugs and hand it ower to me. I mentioned this to RDM that this will be the third time that the plugs that supposed to last you 90,000klm will be replaced, the plugs that Mercedes give me back was very old plugs, just to get rid of me they hand me any old plugs. The mechanic at RDM said it is not necessary to replace the plugs again. This is what I call service, people you can trust and they not there to rip you off but ensure that you get the best deal. I give them five stars, they deserve. Thank you Mr Laza Lazrevic and staff at RDM for a job well done. Carl van der Westhuizen

Took the vehicle in to change an oil seal on the gearbox. Still leaked oil afterwards and they agreed to fix the problem at their expense. Delivered vehicle just after 8 as agreed. No other booking in their diary. Assurance I can pick up vehicle around 4pm. They would phone when ready. Heard nothing from RDM Services. Phoned at 4:25. Car won't be ready until 3pm NEXT DAY. Why? They started late, they say. Why? There were other vehicles ahead of me. Not true: I was the only entry when I booked. Bottom line: I was moved to the back of whatever queue there was (if any) because this was going to cost THEM money. So we take our time and ***** the client. Why didn't they bother to phone and tell me? Silence. "Sorry oom." Result: I had to cancel three meetings at short notice, all of them important buyers. Be very careful of RDM Services; it's a reckless outfit. They will cost you money and more. And blame you for it.

The worst experience ever!! This company should be closed down as they mislead people and overcharge. The day I called RDM auto services to fix our Fiat Palio. I spoke to a guy named Lawrence who advised me that they repair aswell with original Fiat parts. The following Tuesday the car died out it was not getting enough power . Everything else was working on the car such as lights the cluster ect. Something was wrong with the engine . luckily we made a booking with RDM to bring the car in. Their towing services was over R2000.00.first was crazy. We did not use it because it was absolutely ridiculous. By 10 am my fiance got the car to their premises. A guy named Peter who is the manager greeted him. He was then referred to the reception to write down what is wrong with the car and Lawrence advised that they are going to do an engine diagnostics test to see where the fault was. There was paper work that my fiance filled in and he was advised to leave the car there as they will do the test and call him. The Wednesday Lawrence called my fiance and advised him that their system picked up all the errors written down by my fiance. Lawrence requested the go ahead to start working on the car. No turn around time was given . Lawrence then advised it will cost 8500.00 to excluding Vat. Friday Lawrence called my fiance To say that they are almost done with the car. Lawrence then said that the mechanic picked up that the inner and outer cv joints was not in a good condition. Which he will charge an additional 2300.00 to fix. He requested the go ahead and my fiancee agreed. The next Tuesday my fiance called Rdm . LAWRENCE advised that they are almost done with the car they will take the car for alignment and car wash and it should be ready for collection. Then Wednesday we called Lawrence again for feedback as we were eagerly waiting to collect the car as we had no other form of transport . Lawrence advised that the car was not ready they haven't done what he advised the day before was going to happen.the car stood in their yard without them attending to it. Thursday I called him for feedback since he didn't advise. He gave me attitude advising that they are still busy and that things take time . Which was extremely uncalled for after we had to follow up with him . I was extremely upset . Lawrence called my fiance to collect the car. My fiance left work in a rush to collect the car. When he got to the dealership he had to pay first according to Lawrence, before he could check the car and see if he was happy. As that was their company principles . My finace paid them and then took the car for a test drive alone as no one would accompany him .not even the Mechanic which I thought was extremely bad service . The car was jerking badly and black smoke started coming out of the engine and white smoke and the fuel injector light went on . The car died out twice . My fiance then went to the garage around the corner and threw R200 petrol. My fiance then went back to the autoshop advising Lawrence about the problem. Lawrence brushed it off and said that the car needs to be driven and everything will be fine. My fiance took his word for it and left the shop. We stay in randfontein which is a distance from RDM in randburg. The car didn't make it and my fiance had to leave it at his parents house in Sophiatown. The car wasn't idling properly, the car was shattering . The car has never made a noise while idling before but all of the sudden it was given an unfamiliar nose and the red light for the fuel injector didn't stop shining . This was a worrying factor as it seemed as though the car was worse off then when we left it there. My fiance then arranged with his step rather to take the car back. He called Lawrence and advise him that after his exam he will bring the car in. The next day after immense transport struggle my fiance's step Father and himself had taken the car back because we have spent 11600.00 on the car at RDM to fix the car but it came back in a worse off condition. I was extremely stressed out. Lawrence rudely then advised my finance that they have never seen that light and that the car was fine when they drove it . Which is impossible because when my fiance showed them how the car was idling and the black smoke it was spitting from the exhaust pipe , they had said the car was very problematic and that so many things were wrong all of a sudden after we had spent all that money . I was disgusted by the attitude we got from Lawrence aswell as Pieter the manger who was not willing to fix the problem they created. It has been over two weeks and the car was still not fixed. Friday my fiance went back to the shop to fetch the car this time he had to pay an additional 1366.00 for the fuel injector . That they replaced out if the 4 fuel injector. They had replaced. When my fiance left the shop again to test drive the car he noticed that the cars indicators ,lights weren't working. This was extremely upsetting as it was like they were breaking the car slowly but surely . We called Lawrence to advise that the indicators aren't working and he just went to the garage as the fuel light was on and the car was empty. This was extremely odd as the tank was half when he left it there before and now it was empty. He threw another R200 petrol. And returned the car back to the shop. Lawrence advised that everything was working fine when he took the car for a test drive . He then had the nerve to accused my fiance of doing something to the car . Which is impossible when driving to the garage and back to his their shop. I was beyond upset Pieter the manager called my fiance and my fiance and advised him that nothing was working on the dashboard aswell as the lights of the car and Lawrence was advising that since nothing is working they will have to take the car to an electrician. Which will charge us an additional amount. My fiance got so upset with this people Knowingly that these things has been working all a long in the car and didn't give problems before . Pieter then said that yes his auto shop will charge us without a doubt. My fiance advised him that he is inconvienacing us and that he is over charging us as they fix one thing and break the next to keep the car in the shop and over charge us . After my fiance told him that . Pieter the manager got angry and said :" come fetch your ****ing car or I will charge you for storage, I work with expensive cars and this is one of the worst cars I have worked on " . My fiance said that he will fetch the car and he will lay a complaint against the company . Pieter advised him that he doesn't care all calls are recorded and that my fiance better that see that he fetches the car . The call was dropped After hearing this I immediately called to speak to Pieter from my work as I was extremely upset and could not believe the **** customer service that we have been receiving from this registered auto shop. I called in and told him that I have been working for a financial service for many years and the customer that is paying 1cent and a customer that is paying 1 million rand will be treated the same as that is customer service and as a company's values and integrity they need to uphold it. He gave me alotof attitude when I advised him of something he should know i told him that I will take legal action against the company as we have spent over R10 000.00 and this type of service aswell as the treatment we experienced . If I had known that this company it's employees and especially the manager treated customers this way I would have never taken my car to these people . I hope the ombudsman can come to my aid . I really have had enough of these people and I would like my money back if this problem can not be resolved. I would like all the telephonic recordings to be retrieved. I need someone to attend to This matter urgently. Regards Nicole Nathaniel

On the 9 February I got back my vehicle, which had gone in for clutch repairs. On 1 March to my surprise my vehicle broke down due to not being able to go in gears, clutch problem according to me. I contacted RDM and they came to check my vehicle, they told me if they find the problem to be what they previously worked on they wouldn’t charge me, new repairs I would have to pay. Later I phoned them, (yes I had to follow up) and the gentleman who answered said they had identified the problem, a pipe needed to be replaced. But they wouldn’t charge me for Labour only parts, this impressed me as I felt like a valued customer. Today I got my vehicle back and lo and behold I had been charged labour. When I phoned to follow up, the gentleman denied the no labour charge and asked the name of the man I spoke to? When I voiced my dissatisfaction and said I would not be return customer, he said he understands. Moral of the story, for R180 they lost a repeat customer, after having spent R4900.

I was to purchase a business called RDM Auto Services in Maria street in Randburg in Johannesburg. The owner Riaan emigrated to NZ and his wife handled the finalities.

I discovered that the mechanic was not qualified at all; that the onwers wife had a very bad relationship with suppliers and that relevant tools were removed from the business.

Most concerning was that the business was certified under Riaan's name and he was no longer there...shocking.

potential business buyers - watch out for this as the business is being adevrtised for sale again

I have recently taken my Ford Focus to RDM Auto although the person who helped me telephonically was very reputable and friendly, the services I was charged for was completely ridiculous (Adrian). They charged me R5500+- to service my car which had a problem with regards to the engine mounting. So what they did was change all the fluids, changed a single CV joint, fitted new breaks, swapped out the air and oil filters and told me that I have bent my rear gearbox mounting. I begged to differ so I took the car to another establishment and they immediately conffirmed that they miss diagnosed the gearbox mounting being bent and confirmed that it was the engine mounting itself. I am asstonnished to find that when I opened my bonnet, the engine was still dirty and it looked like they did not take the time to even open up the bonnet to see what the issue might be. We have been dealing with RDM since Basil Hendricks was the person in charge. I am extremely dissatisfied to say the least. firstly being charged R5500 after which my concern was not addressed and brushed off as not urgent.
