Receiving UNSOLICITED whatsapp messages to my PRIVATE number peddling their services. Absolutely puts me off doing any busines with them whatsoever. How did they get my number and how have I been put onto their database without my consent?
There is no longer any customer parking outside this store from 5pm onwards because the surrounding minibus taxi and Uber cars leave their vehicles in the customer parking spaces at night. Not a single parking space available. This means customers have to risk their safety by finding parking further away to access the store. Please KFC Capricorn Park sort this out.
The Engen Eastlake Convenience Centre on Prince George Drive, Southern Suburbs, Cape Town used to be my once a day, go to store but its deterioration has now stopped me going. They are now allowing taxi’s to take up an entire bank of customer parking - approximately 8 parking spaces - at night time. I presume they are renting out these spaces. If you go after 6pm and it’s busy - you can no longer find parking. And it looks awful all these minibus taxis parked in a row - like a minibus taxi rank. The prices in the convenience shop are exhorbitant. I can understand given the nature of the 24 hour store that it will be more expensive but I don’t like being completely **********. I now have to pay over R69 for a box of cigarettes - the same I can buy for R58 elsewhere. Make some money fine - but don’t be ridiculous. The same applies to bottled water, in fact everything is pretty much sold at a ridiculous price. There is always a beggar or two sitting behind the wood pile container at the door. And they are very forward, calling out to customers to buy them food etc. As a visiting female alone, it is very unsettling and yet nothing seems to be done about it. Visiting the store the past three or four times in the early evening - the music is t******* and blaring in the shop - you can’t even think it’s so loud. So unpleasant. I’m very disappointed at how this store is deteriorating. The only compliment I have is for their wonderful, hardworking staff. They are lovely. I hope it will be sorted out before it gets worse - the deterioration directly affects the impression of the surrounding area.
