Unfair business practise

This is for all future brides who intend booking Khadija for your bridal make up. She insists telephonically that you have to pay in full if you wish to secure your booking to have your make up done. My wedding was cancelled and now she states that as per her terms and conditions : "it states you forfeit your payment if you pay in full". I can assure you this was not on her website at the time of booking. Who runs their business in this fashion? Service providers request a 50% deposit not full payment and then add a ridiculous clause as you forfeit your full payment if you cancel, surely from a consumer protection act this service provider should be exposed? I fully acknowledge that you do forfeit your 50% deposit but in my opinion this is underhanded way of operating your business. The Public must be made aware of such business practice!!!
