Awful!
Last year I had arranged to take a one on one class with Khadija Patel. After hearing about her through a friend I contacted her. We chatted back and forth about how her classes worked as well as payments. Upon chatting to her she requested that I pay a 50% deposit to secure my spot which I had done. After paying my deposit I receive a message from her requesting that I pay the other half of the money l. Because of her sparkling personality and fake authentic front I agreed to pay her a 50% for the class. Her reasons were that her PA / Accountant or whatever insisted that payment needs to be made due it being end of the month and reconciliations needed to be done. I understood and made the payment. Finally I go to my class. It was horrible an hour of our time she spent speaking about how rich she is and how much her sister hates her. I was pretty mad because my money was time the same thing happened on my second class plus she still owes me a makeup theory booklet. She has blocked me over all social media

Awful!

Radiant image a nightmare
On monday the 14 of january 2019 i contact ed khadija patel/malik to do a bridal make up trial. She said she will not book me if i do not make a payment of R4300 to her immediately. But did say that i am guaranteed a 100% if i am not happy for whatever reason. I did the payment trusting her word. She only wanted to do my trial a month before the wedding leaving me with no option but to use her. I am not on facebook or instagram so later on one of my bridesmaids sent me a picture of how terrible and horific her makeup actually is. I then searched khadija patel on google and many hellopeter articles came up about how pathetic she is and how she robs people by making them pay the full amount and then refuses to give back our hard earned money. She lies that she has a strict pa who complains to her fake accountant about everything and that her accountant will not allow a refund as aparently she is the biggest "freebee" in durban. She bad mouths her sister shiloh king but surprisingly she is the same. She talks about how much money she has and how she flies business class all the time and all that nonsense. She is a throw up and does not even give her physcial address to anyone so theres probably not even a trial to go for. After taking the money and it clearing in her account and when you confront her about the articles she says she does not have to defend herself and blocks you.Further more she over books and instead of doing make up she instead things shes building her house and makes people look like ghosts. Guys watch out for this lady shes pathetic. Dont trust her especially for your own wedding.

Pathetic service from drama queen
Hi I am a new bride who is still in shock after going to Radiant Image for a make-up trial. Let me start by saying Kathija, the owner, has been really unprofessional. I had booked my trial with Kathija in August 2017. She had convinced me telephonically that I had to pay the fee in full, even though she did not do the trial as yet. When I enquired about what would happen if I were not happy with the trial, I was told I would get a full refund, but she “is so great that will never happen”. So I booked the trial in January 2018. The first time, Kathija cancelled 5 minutes before the appointment due to a family emergency; the second time, Kathija cancelled the appointment 5 minutes before us reaching the studio because she had to attend a family braai. We rescheduled but on the day of the appointment she did not have transport to reach her studio. My fiancé and I fetched her from her home. At the studio, she told me about a class she was doing. Little did I realise that her class and my trial would be dividing her attention: Kathija would apply some make up on me, excuse herself, go and teach her class for ten to fifteen minutes, and then come back to apply more make-up on my face. This continued throughout my trial. Apart from that, her grandchild came to visit and Kathija was gone for a while, while I sat there waiting. Finally, my trial was done but all I could do was stare at my reflection in horror!!! I was plastered like a newly built house in layers of “white” foundation (it was not even my skin tone), orange lipstick (even though I specifically requested maroon). A student saw my shock and horror and told me not to worry, “you look like a ghost now, but you will settle and you will look better”, but it never settled. Kathija asked if I were happy, and reluctantly I said “yes, but I hope it settles”. She assured me that on my wedding day it will be “blended” properly. She repeated this a few times, like a mantra. However, I am the bride and I have spent a lot of time, money and effort towards making my day memorable, and I could not take the chance that she would spoil my look on one of the biggest days of my life!! So, the next day, I called and explained that I was not happy with the end product and requested a refund. To be fair, I asked that she deduct the cost of the trial from the total amount and pay me the balance. After much deliberation, she finally agreed. I waited three months but Kathija did not contact me or make payment. Now, Kathija refuses to refund the money she owes. Beware of such drama queens who only want to rip you off by not delivering the much glamourized, expected services. This was a nightmare to say the least and has spoilt my exciting wedding vibes highly disappointing. Thank you to Bella Sue for coming to my rescue and doing such an amazing job on such short notice.

Make Up by Khadija Patel
I would like to share my experience at Radiant Image with the owner Khadija Patel so people don’t make the same silly mistake I did! I enquired on bridal makeup services for next year, to my amazement Khadija replied to me instantly and because of all the great reviews I received from others I was really excited she asked me to call her the next day, which I did and we spoke for about an hour, she advised me how busy she was taking next years bookings and that to secure the date I wanted I should pay her in full and if I am unhappy after the trail she would refund me, she also advised me that I should go on her site and and read the terms and conditions which I had also done, and it stated if you are unhappy after the trial you will receive a full refund, the site has now be changed! After my call she sent me a WhatsApp with her banking details and the amount I should pay and told me I would receive a email from her PA with a invoice and terms and conditions, I paid her half the amount she wanted which was r3200 after which I never received any correspondence from her or her PA. I did however receive WhatsApp messages to make the rest of the payment, I then asked her about my trial which I went for, on the day of the trail I showed her a picture that I liked and she said it was very easy and she could do it. She then used concealer under my eyes and on my forehead and chin with a little bit of foundation which was not put on my entire face and which didn’t match my skin tone, lip colour that I wanted was ignored and I also told her I don’t want under eye liner however she did what she wanted! On the day of the trail she told me that the make up will be really bright and I should wait for 2 hours for it to set and my lip colour will also changed to what I wanted but has we was speaking she then said she cannot send me home with the make up and she has to remove it after she does it which I objected to cause earlier she told me I need to see how it looked after 2 hours. I went home was unhappy and sent her a message she then refused to pay me back and she said she doesn’t have access to her bank account only her accountant has access and that he will make a decision if I will get my money back or not! I told her to subtract her trail money and pay me back the rest but she refused to do so and blocked me from WhatsApp!! Guys if anyone wants to use her please don’t make the same mistake I did and pay her in advance rather go in for a trial before making payment!!!

Unfair business practise
This is for all future brides who intend booking Khadija for your bridal make up. She insists telephonically that you have to pay in full if you wish to secure your booking to have your make up done. My wedding was cancelled and now she states that as per her terms and conditions : "it states you forfeit your payment if you pay in full". I can assure you this was not on her website at the time of booking. Who runs their business in this fashion? Service providers request a 50% deposit not full payment and then add a ridiculous clause as you forfeit your full payment if you cancel, surely from a consumer protection act this service provider should be exposed? I fully acknowledge that you do forfeit your 50% deposit but in my opinion this is underhanded way of operating your business. The Public must be made aware of such business practice!!! Please read Tamasha's review as well, due to her unprofessional manner, Tamasha missed her sisters wedding.

Pathetic Service
I am very disappointed at the fact that I missed my sister's wedding because of this woman , I had booked months ago for doing my make up a time of 8 am on the 10 January 2016, I booked early because the wedding was at 10 am. the owner comes in only at 9am and does not even apologize for making me wait outside the shop for an hour, they then delay having their own conversation whilst all the clients are waiting. the makeup was terribly done, if she had a late night it is totally not our business, if that is the case then she must tell clients in advance. I have waited a long time for my sister's wedding and because of this woman I had to miss the wedding. I will never go back to this pathetic service again.i want my money refunded. people like this should not be in business, we pay a lot of money ,so this owner needs to realize that she is not doing this for free.
