Miscommunication, rudeness,DISGUSTING client services from both airlines and blantant extortion is not what i expeceted from QATAR AIRWAYS. Always my first point of call airline for its outstanding service prior ...this has indeed changed. FIRST AND FOREMOSTLY:: I booked my flights as a PACKAGE from KOH SAMUI to HEATHROW paying extra to check-in at first point of call (Koh Samui) so as not to risk long distance travel via bus to Bangkok for COVID REASON and not to have to haul luggage across half of Thailand. A specification was I DO NOT LIKE LONG LAYOVERS, Qatar changed this TWICE> I quested in my initial bookings through travel agents concerned ( Mr Kim and GUE travel) - and have always favoured QATAR airways and will fly QATAR airways even though the ticket was almost (5000 bahT / 160 USDD MORE!!) than ogther options - I Paid it. BANGKOK AIRWAYS allowss 40 kgs of luggage - i knew i was overweight and MR KIM said DONT WORRY ABOUT IT ... because once again i was checking in at koh samui and didnt realise what i had paid FOR IN A CONNECTING FLIGHT was fine except i wasnt going to be gettting that service! - BKK airways at samui airport were were rude beyond the point of comprehension telling to unpack and leave my things if regluations weren't met on a plane that was only at 80% capacity - i said not a problem with pay my excess as i was told by MR KIM that it was 180 baht per kilo ... so i paid my excess after unpacking everything to make one bag 32 kgs and the other 10 instead of 34 and 8kgs. at this stage i was not even aware i had to collect my bags in Bangkok and recheck in. I HAD PAID A FLIGHT AT ALOT MORE MONEY TO CHECK STRAGHT THROUGH. The exceptionally rude ground floor staff of BKK airways on duty ( 10 September 2020 - 15.40) had me gasping ... but repacked paid and got to bangkok. QATAR AIRWAYS: YOUR EXTORTION ON A REGULAR PASSENGER FOR OVERWEIGHT LUGGAGE WHICH I HAD TO PAY FOR TWICE BECAUSE NOBODY IN FORMED ME THAT I WAS NOT GETTING MY DIRECT CHECH THROUGH TO LONDON IS AN ABOMINATION. YOU SHOULD BE DIUSGUSTED AND ASHAMED CHARGING ME ALMOST THE SAME PRICE I PAID FOR THE TICKET ....FOR A PLANE THAT WAS EMPTY. EXTORTION MUCH!!! your groundfloor staff were indeed super friendly ( a young man by the name of KASIDIT) tried his best but his supervisor was so rude to both her staff member and customer i am gobsmacked someone like that can even be employable.. .pretending not to speak english in an international airport ...ARE YOU JOKING! i had to pay, excess luggage AGAIN AFTER PAYING BANGKOK AIRWAYS on a flight that i thought was a merely A CONNECTION the equivalent of another ticket (16 320 baht / 520 dollars) , TO TOP IT OFF THE FLIGHT I HAD PAID FOR was takiing off 4.45 QR 11N , without my knowledge or information meant to be suppled was now schedulde at 07.25 so my layover was 10 hours as BKK airways also moved there flight from 17.25 to 15.40 ( but no discount or compensation JUST CHARGE ME FOR 2 tickets and twice on a connecting flight( QATAR AIRWAYS: your ground staff at DOHA dimissed my concerns by issuing me a 10 riyal voucher for your staff canteen and a scoff - good luck with that - MARCHE was the manager i dealt with who should actually work benenath the first poiint of contact a youngman calln IMAN who tried his best and even almost disagreed with his superor as EXTORTION is one thing but condescending handouts well. ... i am an easy person...always friendly and callm but your service will ensure I NEVER fliy with you again unless im compensated in some way for the extortion your company bestowed upon durung a worldwide CRISIS....sorry your airline is not making the millions its used to but that does not give you the right ot take advantage that still chose to book through you duer to prior pleasurable flights
