I have dreaded disease cover with OLD MUTUAL. My broker submitted my claim forms and we were given a CLAIMS REFERENCE NUMBER. It has been 2 months and I have been calling to find out what the update is I have spent hundred of rands on airtime only to be cut off in the middle of the conversation when I call back there is a new person assisting me. Today i found out that my claim forms were not even uploaded onto the system the assessors have not been working on my claim at all. OLD MUTUAL are quick to take their premiums but are slacking in their treatment of their clients. i have been a client for almost 20yrs and I am having difficulty with my memory from vascular dementia. I do not have the strength to call in all the time or to afford to buy airtime. I want to know how can the give you a claim number and do nothing with the claim forms. why have they not done their side for the claim to go through???? my name is Lorraine Lourenco member number 16474393
prosecure's sales person charged me for a new alarm system under a year ago, 4 months ago there was no signal from my home to them, they kept charging me for a service that did not exist, after numerous complaints and several emails to cancel they have ignored my emails since 17/05/23. they are well aware that there system is not working but continue to charge me for a service. they are now refusing to cancel my account. I paid the salesperson for the unit and installation WHO NO LONGER IS EMPLOYED AT THEIR COMPANY neither is the technician . this company should be investigated for their
king price - annual premium hike was 60% they are claiming that it is because of the retail value of my car?????? Surely there is a law against how much a company can increase their premiums!!! their claims to have decreasing premiums according to the decreasing value of your vehicle is a complete lie/scam/whatever you want to call it. this is a first ever company that can do their annual increase by a jump of 60% and by some miracle my car seems to increase in retail value because this is the reason I was given by their supervisor!!!! last month another person claimed that the value of my car was R30,000 less and gave me the reason that the annual increase was so high was due to parts are more expensive that their suppliers have increased their prices but does 60% make sense?? if anyone can point me to the right people to address this with because companies should not have the right to escalate their increases by such a drastic hike of 60%.
My application for fibre from Mweb in December has still not been done, numerous calls failed to get any feedback regarding date of installation. after months I decided to cancel weeks later they have still not cancelled my application so that means I cannot go to any other company until MWEB cancel my application. I spent hundreds of Rands on calls to this company, they are despicable to hold on to prospective customers even though they do not want to deal with them because of their empty promises. I am furious at their lies and lack of integrity A COMPANY SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS-MWEB ARE LIARS
I PURCHASED AN ITEM ONLINE ADVERTISED ON SMART SPEAKERS ALSO KNOWN AS JJ REWARDS A FEW DAYS LATER WHEN I QUERIED THE DELIVERY I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE MY PURCHASE ON 29/05/20 BY 5PM. WHICH I DID NOT RECEIVE. I WAS ADVISED AFTER NUMEROUS TELEPHONE CALLS AND EMAILS THAT THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK. HOW DOES A COMPANY ADVERTISE FOR GOODS AND NOT HAVE STOCK BUT THEY KEEP YOUR PAYMENT??? TO DATE I HEARD NOTHING FROM JJ REWARDS. ARE COMPANIES ALLOWED TO TRADE ONLINE AND BASICALLY DEFRAUD PEOPLE???????????
In October last year I upgraded my gold chq acc to a premium acc, the consultant opened a second chq account instead of changing my existing chq acc which I had for 13years. I only realised this much later I queried this and was told that the second chq acc will be closed. To date they have not closed the account and have been charging me interest on an account that I did not open, numerous telephone calls and emails later I just received notification that I have been handed over to the attorney MBD, for bank charges. After many years of being a loyal client you get treated like a criminal due to the incompetence of the Absa staff. I am not responsible for useless people that work at Absa, all calls are supposed to be recorded...why can they not investigate. WHICH IDIOT WOULD UPGRADE A CHEQUE ACC AND OPEN ANOTHER JUST FOR FUN AND NOT USE THE ACCOUNT. why should I be responsible for bank charges...in the thousands due to imbeciles who work at ABSA
