I would strongly advise to use any other agency but Sotheby's Sea Point. The agency is beyond unprofessional and their billing structure is absolutely a rip off to the owner. I have been working with them since Dec'22, the service being to secure a tenant for Jan'23 and manage the place on my behalf as I would be moving to a different province and will be unable to lookafter it myself. From the very beginning the allocated agent Fabian Gentle was unreliable, he would set up meeting face to face only for him to cancel on the day of, at the exact time we are supposed to meet. There has been numerous cases were the agent was all talk and no action. He secured a tenant in 07 Jan'22 sent the contract which was full of mistakes, even had the wrong agent in the contract. This happened quite a few (4) times where I would have to call out the mistakes, eventually he asked me (the client) to fix it and initial where it has been fixed and return it to him. The tenant moves in and he pays the 2 month deposit and Jan's rental. Sotheby's keeps the deposit for legal reasons, understood but also keeps the rental as commission. The commission in total was R22k bare in mind the concept of commission is to reward the employee after the fact. But in Sotheby's world they take the commission upfront. After a one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had. I was working with another agent who was extremely professional from another agency. Due to this being a business I had to work with the agent who secured a tenant first as I had financial obligations such as the bond, rates and taxes to pay. Fast forward the agent then decides to do unnecessary work due to the tenant not knowing how the washing machine works. This was not discussed with me at all instead I got a bill of R2550 to pay of which I refused. We went back and forth and this man saw no wrongdoing started ignoring my emails and text. Cause I was asking for the ingoing inspection which wasn't done (this matter was raised after 7 days of moving in). Chad Shapiro then comes back to me and says his office will now handle the lease. Fast forward to today 5th February I still have not seen a cent from these people. I had to again cough up R19k in Feb for this place without seeing any cash flow from Sotheby's Sea Point, when asked when can I expect February's rental they ignore my email. This matter has been reported to the Rental housing tribunal. Cause I am losing money from this, which was not what I wanted the stress these people have caused me is insane I was already dealing with the stress of moving and starting a new job in a different province and needed them to assist in managing the place on my behalf instead they are keeping all monies coming in and I as the owner haven't seen a cent. Yet i still have to pay the expenses. It is not fair and I want justice. I've left out a lot of other scenarios scenarios where the service has been been poor. Do not use this agency!!!!
This airline service is so poor. I had a 6am flight completed my online check in arrived on time and no gate number. Checkee monitors asked no luck no communication no apologies but moving me to a later flight. Please do not book Mango its unreliable funny enough I never book them and the one time I do they disappoint.
The lady's name is "Alicia Carlson", she finds people through ads who need liftclubs and asks them to eWallet R300 to her. She sends a fake email from the S.A.D.O.T saying they have received your payment. She's working with an insider to pool this off so it looks legit. She'll ask you to send an outstanding balace of R300 and will never arrive to pick you up. She uses people's desperation for her evil gains.
