I have given my son Power of Attorney to handle anything on my behalf. We are currently out of SA. He went to Standard bank Paarl to get my account number. I have spoken to someone there as well (don't want to mention the name, as, according to her, she's only doing her job). They still refuse to give my son my banking details and now they don't want to email it to me either with te excuse that someone else may read my emails. Now... what is the use of Power of Attorney? I need my account number for deposits as we are stuck here with no means to draw money from an ATM. Standard Bank sucks!
A big big shout out to Brewcraft! The best customer service I have ever experienced. Louis and your team...WELL DONE!
I had a package mailed to me on 6 March 2019 from South Africa to Brazil. I have sent 4 emails to them, requesting the whereabouts of the package which they have not replied on one of them. The tracking status stays the same when I go onto their website. I think their service sucks!
I am very unhappy with Absa. We are travelling to numerous contries. Absa blocked both my cards (debit and credit), even though I have sent them an email to inform them about my travels. I have sent them another email requesting them to unblock my cards, no success! Received an sms to PHONE them... I've only got sms roaming which I stated in my email. The peson who received my email either can't read or understand English, or just don't give a rat's ass for my problem. Had the same problem with Standard bank and they rectified it in 24 hours! Please! Do not use ABSA! They are useless! Standard bank alot better!
Absa once again! I had a simswop for my new phone... Absa blocked my account (which I understand). Went into Paarden Island (Cape Town) branch at +- 11.00 to fix this problem. Lady at reception/customer care who helped me said it will be 3 hours before my internet banking will be unlocked. Well, guess what? It is now 19.35 and it's still not unlocked! I am really disgusted by Absa's service!
Lifting of session at Absa bank: I've got a policy at Sanlam that can pay put. Found out there is a session held at Absa for a study loan that has been paid off more than 6 years ago, and that I need a letter from Absa that they don't need the security anymore. Went to Absa branch in Paarden Island early June and spoke to Mathew Phillips (who did his job). Then my phone calls started... Since I went into the bank I started phoning at least twice a week to enquire the matter. No joy! Only this last few days (14, 15, 16 and 22 August) I made 7 calls! Spoke to the branch manager (Clive) at Paarden Island. Still no joy! Now I wonder... does it take almost 2 months to write a letter? Or is there just people not doing their job at the Kempton Park branch which is supposedly the only branch that can give me the final letter that I need to give Sanlam to process my policy payout?
