On 14 March I used the self service portal to change my banking details from FNB to Nedbank, for my debit order details for Wesbank and Axis accounts. This included uploading letter of account confirmation from Nedbank. I received confirmation emails for each request. On 25 march there were attempts to debit the old FNB account, which were not successful, as the funds were in the Nedbank account. I immediately went online and completed the complaints form on Wesbank, insisting that they correct the problem and not charge me for unsuccessful debits. To date, this submission has not even been acknowledged. The only communication has been nasty SMS's threatening negative entries on the credit bureaus. Today I spent 18 minutes on my cellphone, attempting to have this corrected by the call center, moving from one person to the next. Eventually, just when it seemed I had got to the point of resolution, the line was cut off. The funds are sitting in my Nedbank account, waiting to be debited. WHY DO I GET TREATED LIKE A DEFAULTER WHEN WESBANK CANNOT COMPLETE A SIMPLE TASK???
So Absa, in their wisdom, decided for me on a date to debit my account for my home loan.<br> That date has never suited me and has resulted in a missed payment because funds were not yet available.<br> However, when I have tried changing that date so that there are no further missed payments, I'm told that I can't because of the missed payment.<br> How short sighted can you be? This will most certainly result in more missed payments.<br> Even though the machine INSISTS that all calls are recorded, there is no reference for the call.<br> In other words, they can simply deny that I ever contacted them. <br> On top of all of this, I have never received any documentation from Absa for my home loan.<br> Not a single person from Absa has ever even acknowledged my existence since getting the home loan.<br> That just proves that we are simply another number to them
