Purchased a water fountain for cats online- only to find out within 5 hours of the purchase, when they answered my email that one cannot buy replacement filters, unless you purchase another machine EACH TIME. It appeared that they are based in Capetown but this is a shell company it appears, the products come from China directly. They refused to cancel the order, stating its been dispatched already within 5 hours, even though their tracking correspondence indicated, being processed, followed by being packed a few days later, then moving to shipping, then to the dock, then on the ship, regardless of how many times I requested cancellation. Apparently one has 1 hour ONLY to cancel orders that are paid for by credit or debit card- Is that even legal? They could track the order, but couldn't cancel it. More like REFUSED TO CANCEL IT. This all over Christmas and New year. Intial correspondence unducated the irder would take between 7 and 19 days to dispatch, after cancellation request this changed to 2 to 10 days (over the Christmas and New year period) Furthermore they have a 30 day money back guarentee, another **** layer...according to their advert on Facebook, however their T's and C's indicate that if you'd like to returm the parcel, it should be done within 14 days to get your money back, package must be unopened in original packaging, just send them an email and they will send you the forms and take you through the process. Another LIE. I did rhis the day it arrived. Their return policy email address returns undeliverable, their initial tracking correspondence email, and the email they used to inform me they cannot unfortunately stop the order now goes unanswered too. So I'm sitting with a priduct that arrived on 2nd January, that's unopened still in the courier box, that I can't return, and should I use it, it will be for only a month for the bargain price of R1600, because they don't supply the additional filters that need replacement for the product they ' manufacture and sell. I have informed FNB debit order dispute of this **** and I'm still waiting for their investigation into NUVITA-CARE to be finalized. Its ********* companies like this that make online purchasing a problem, and customers skeptical.
Do not use Budget repairs. I called them out to assess my fridgemaster and explicitly asked their rates. Callout fee 350.00 if you take the quote no call out fee. Never mentioned labour, even though I asked what they charge. On arrival they told me it's a starter, which it was not it was a relay, that they handed me, he literally took 1 min to assess the issue and that I needed two relays @700.00 and the labour was 800 and regas was 550 so I'd be in for 1.8k I paid the callout fee and told them to leave. On further investigating I found the part they said I needed for R30.00. Needless to say this part is not even for my fridge. Which I discovered when calling out another company. They took the original relay and left me with this other relay. The correct relay could be ascertained from the freezer section of the fridge, hence I could see it was not the correct part. I'm not entirely sure what they were going to fix. This company is upto no good.
I had high hopes for this company, when I called them out for a tripping problem. R650 callout fee, they were to assess the problem, and quote, within 20 min the job was done, impressive. A rewire and 20 amp circuit breaker replaced and I was hit with a R2250.00 bill. I paid, only to find out a circuit breaker cost is 150.00 the time was within the callout fee, so how do they justify this? On enquiring the owner Dennis's answer was he studied, and next time I should call someone else, but he can't/ won't tell me what the R1600 was for. After phoning around I should have paid between R850.00 and R1100.00 Ethics and morals are sorely lacking when people get away with this.
Gautrain times are the most frustrating on their website the last train is scheduled to leave station at 21h21...on so many occasions I have been stranded due to planes being late and missing the train... So was relieved when once again the plane was over an hour late and I made it to the station after a long day at 21h06 only to be told sorry that's the staff train.. Ffs stuck at Or Thambo now needing to Uber at 300.00 to get to Sandton at this time. Pathetic. The services should seriously consider fixing their time schedule so it's not misleading or actually realize the need to have a late Train...im done at 250.00 a trip its easier to come with my car.
