A group of friends stayed there this past weekend. The stove kept tripping the electricity, the bedding was full of dust, there were spider webs in the rooms and the ensuite room smelt like sewer due to the septic tank. Yes we didn't report these issues but I mentioned it on my review of the place. During our stay one of our friends accidentally walked into the sliding door as the open plan makes it seem as if you are outside. We read the damage policy but it did not mention anything about reporting the damage because it is a self check in and checkout place. The next day the owners who didn't even meet the whole group only saw us for 5 minutes during our stay to speak about the lights that kept tripping, tried calling me 9 times during which I was busy at work and unable to answer the call. As soon as I saw the calls and messages from them regarding the damaged glass, I responded and even apologized for not being able to answer the call( I responded within an hour), he responded being rude with the invoice will be sent and I responded noted thank you. Two days later, after my review, he sent the invoice demanding it be paid within 24 hours and accused us of being rude on arrival( how because we didn't see him on arrival?), and how our excessive drinking led to us damaging his property( how can he assume we were drinking excessively when he wasn't even there with us?) and he went further to even say that they tried contact us multiple times on which we rejected their calls to avoid taking responsibility for the damage we caused( I made the booking, he only had my number so who is the us he tried contacting? I responded immediately when I saw the calls and even apologized for seeing it an hour later?), if I really wanted to avoid paying the damages I would have blocked him which I didn't do and after posting this response to mt review he blocked all communication with me.
One star is even too much credit. Terrible is an understatement for the service. I have re registered in September and still have not been helped. I have called a million times, sent a million emails. My case has even been escalated to managers and still nothing.
