My daughter's employer applied for ters funds for all his employees.all employees received their money except my daughter ad per employer her claim kept coming back with "bank verification failed". At the end of may she was issued a retrtenchmenr letter from her employer with last day of service as 31 may. " note also that the employer tried to commit fraud by telling her that the ters money she will receive will be her leave pay" CCMA has since ordered the employer to pay her leave pay from his own pocket. After months of communicating with UIF ters callforce center "who by the way is only three callforce employees with no access to the UIF ters funds system; " so not to sure what their purpose is"we escalated the matter directly to Mr marupeng the UIF commitoiner. He in return ordered temperature to give feedback within 48 hours. Five weeks later after no response we once again started sending emails to all the email address we were given. They responded saying that bank verification failed again..we then contacted FNB and the manager picked up that her details was captured incorrectly on theirequest system and immediately corrected this. This information was given to UIF ters and they responded saying that since the employer is a sole proprietor that a manual verification must be done..we then replied as to how all other employees were paid without a manual verification? Today they replied and sudenly now all of a sudden she does not qualify for ters as she was retrenched in end may, but so was four other employees and they did get their ters money. .my opinion is that these callforce agents and UIF system is totally incompetent and corrupt..this child had no income since the e.c.d.centers closed weeks before the lockdown started.she does not even quality for the srd grant or a food parcel..this incompetent call center and UIF employees are just contributing to the suffering of our people as I am sure that she not the only one in this situation. So the question remains are the staff that did get their ters going to pay back the money or what because if my daughter does not qualify neither should they? As she was still technically employed just like them until end of may 2020.
