Would like to commend "www.ultimo.co.za" and "The Courier Guy" for outstanding service. Made an online purchase of a smar****ch from Ultimo at 16hr45 on Monday and took delivery of the package at 9am the following morning.
Would like to commend "www.ultimo.co.za" and "The Courier Guy" for outstanding service. Made an online purchase of a smar****ch from Ultimo at 16hr45 on Monday and took delivery of the package at 9am the following morning.
Having purchased some outdoors gifts from animal gear in early October - so as to be well in time for Christmas, I was surprised by the delay in notification of dispatch. After a month I managed to get through to their "support" lines only to be promised that it would be sorted out. Another month later I again managed to get through on the phone. (On both the Cape Town and Johannesburg numbers - their automated answering machine welcomes you to "South Africa's favorite online shop" and consistently warns you of "high call volumes" - which is not surprising given that the phone never seems to get answered regardless of whether you select "sales", "order tracking" or "hold for an operator".) On this second occasion I managed to get hold of "Garth" who pleaded some computer issues with his PC but that he would phone me back as soon as his system was up and running. Needless to say no phone call received and i have never been able to get hold of either of their numbers ever again despite having placed literally dozens of calls to both numbers. Emails - pleading for some indication of what had happened to my order and updating the delivery address (given the 3 month delay in shipping) - went unanswered until I suddenly (and very surprisingly) got one from the aforementioned Garth - indicating his apology and that he was on the case to sort it out. A day later i got an online notification that my order had been dispatched (albeit to the wrong address). No matter, all was forgiven and our family made a whole bunch of plans and called in a whole bunch of favors to get the parcel re-directed to the updated address only to find that they had sent just one useless rubber dog toy - without any sign of the big purchase items in my order. Their numbers remain unanswered, my order remains undelivered and my refund remains unpaid almost 3 months later. What a joke, but one which is extremely annoying and worth my time to follow up through each and every avenue.
