I visited Utopia restaurant in Cape Town on the 28th of September 2023. We were the group of 4 coming from Port Elizabeth. We couldn't make the booking and decided to go there anyway since we planned to visit the restaurant. It was full to the max, I spoke to the gentleman who seemed like a manager at that time and told us to wait while he is checking for the available table. He secured the table for us and the service was superb. Peter who was assisting us with our orders and drinks was friendly and helpful. Big up to you guys, you made our experience worth a while. Definitely I'm recommending it to anyone visiting Capetown.
I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from Emerald Life in Cape road, Port Elizabeth. We submitted a claim on the 11th of April, after running around with 'outstanding documents' calls. They told us that the bank statement we submitted was not OK they need another one and the stamp on the ID copy is not clear. We furnished them with those documents. subsequently couple of messages kept coming with the one informing us that the claim is "declined due to the policy having lapsed on the 29 February 2020 after two consecutive months of non payments". This was never picked up or mentioned in a week's period of of visiting the branch. On the 12th we visited the bank of the deseased and requested bank statement, we noticed that the debit orders were going through and quickly went to Emerald life offices. They informed us that the letter was referring to the old policy not the current one. To me that is blatant nonsense and incompetence on the level of service they are providing. How come Emerald life respond to the policy that was never queried? I mean there was no communication made based on the active policy and chose to confuse and mislead the entire grieving family. What was gonna happen to the current claim if we did not take further steps? This caused a family a lot of inconvenience and unnecessary expenses.
On the 15 of Sebtember 2018 i bought a cellphone at Egdars in Greenacres that gave me problems a month later. It started by switching off anytime and swich on after some time, i reported that to the store. The matter got worse the front camera stopped working it just freeze. On the 23rd of October i took the phone in store for repairs. After numerous visit to the store i recieved the phone on the 7th of December without being fixed and the reason is unknown by the store and i advised them to contact the repairs to find out and the told me the people who were supposed to fix the phone also dont know why the phone is not fixed. This is just a lot of **** and stinky attitude displayed by the Edgars store cleary someone should know something and must account or give me my money back or a new cellphone because i bought it cash. I'm told to return it the phone to the store for repairs again without knowing why it was not fixed after waiting for 6 weeks. Is there any sensible human being at this store to understand this kind of treatment towards customers.
