Exceptional Service
From start to finish, our experience at Utopia was nothing short of incredible. From the smooth and welcoming reservation process to the unforgettable evening itself, everything was handled with such care and professionalism. This night was especially meaningful for me, as I had planned to propose to my partner and it turned out more perfect than I could have ever imagined. Our waiter, Maxine, went above and beyond to support me. She didn’t hesitate to help capture the moment, giving us memories we’ll cherish forever. I’m truly grateful for her kindness and willingness to be part of such a special milestone in our lives. Her service throughout the evening was exceptional. She was attentive without ever being intrusive our glasses were always filled, and we never once had to look around for assistance. It honestly felt like the best service I’ve ever experienced. My (now) fiancé is a huge seafood *****, and Utopia absolutely delivered. Every dish exceeded our expectations, and the quality of the food truly stood out. A big thank you to Maria, Maxine, the talented chefs, and the entire team for making our evening so memorable. To top it all off, we were treated to a bottle of champagne and a dessert to celebrate the occasion such a thoughtful and generous gesture that made us feel incredibly special. The views are breathtaking, the food is outstanding, and the service is simply world-class. We felt completely taken care of from beginning to end. We will definitely be back, and I’ll be recommending Utopia to everyone I know. Thank you for giving us a night we’ll never forget.

Great service by Peter and the manager
I visited Utopia restaurant in Cape Town on the 28th of September 2023. We were the group of 4 coming from Port Elizabeth. We couldn't make the booking and decided to go there anyway since we planned to visit the restaurant. It was full to the max, I spoke to the gentleman who seemed like a manager at that time and told us to wait while he is checking for the available table. He secured the table for us and the service was superb. Peter who was assisting us with our orders and drinks was friendly and helpful. Big up to you guys, you made our experience worth a while. Definitely I'm recommending it to anyone visiting Capetown.

Great service by Peter and the manager

UTOPIA OUT OF TOUCH
Booked a table for 12 and then was requested a deposit. However, this is the industry norm I went there personally to explain that we are 12 people 6 of the guests are international guests and would be paying for the bill hence that the deposit is waived. The General Manager's attitude and understanding of the situation were such as "does it look like I care". The fact that I went there in person was a clear indication that we are for sure coming. It is sad to see an establishment like this not see the bigger picture and effectively lost a sale of R15k or more. Any of my future international guests visiting Cape Town will definitely not be taken here nor my friends and I.

Do not go to Utopia
I am very disappointed. I booked for my fiancé’s birthday a month ago (22 Feb). We got to the table and we ordered wine about 10 mins after arriving. We waited for service but no one came to help. More than 30 minutes later our waiter arrived and we wanted to order the 5 course menu. Then they told us there is not enough time left for the menu. I am really disappointed. I really wanted this night to be special. We had to leave without food.
