Every year it's a hassle to get my tax certificate because they don't bother to provide a way for me to get it on my own. I have to contact them directly to get them to send it to me. I don't understand how a business that has been going for years and for which tax certificates are a standard thing doesn't have any way to get them. The "support" page was written over 10 years ago and refers to something that doesn't exist on the site. There is a "Tax and statement" option in a menu, but all it does is lead to the page with tax registration information. There is nothing about statements or tax certificates.
I'm trying to log in and suddenly Discovery requires an OTP. Unfortunately, they don't actually bother to send the OTP, so it's not possible to log in. I need to get access to my tax certificate and I can't get it because Discovery has effectively disabled logging in. And, since they also long since got rid of all reasonable means of communicating with them, complaints on HelloPeter are now the only way to get hold of anyone. "Try WhatsApp," I hear you say. Except that, to contact them via WhatsApp you first need to get the OTP...
Still unable to log in on a new device because they don't bother to send the OTP they claim they'll send and that's required to log in on a new device. Their response was literally "you're able to log in on an old device, so what's the problem?" Their engineers pretty much admitted that they don't know what an OTP is.
Still no card, still being charged. Discovery likes to pretend that I'm not being charged. Apparently they think I can't read. They're also still lying about the reason the card was never sent. They don't bother to provide a way to get a card, only a form that doesn't allow entering a full address. When challenged, they say to send an email to the complaints department, but the email address for the department auto responds that the complaints email address is not for complaints. They provide a phone number that requires being rich in both time and money. Discovery bank is just dishonesty from top to bottom
A new phone and I'm trying to set up the app. But Discovery doesn't want me to be able to log in. They pretend they're sending an OTP to my phone, but never bother to send one.
Still no card and still being charged after Discovery cancelled the card request and claimed that I'd cancelled the application.
I see many people reporting similar abetting of ********s by Cloudflare. Cloudflare do appear to be knowingly aiding ********s. I reported a domain registered with them. It's clearly being used to **** people because the link I got is pretending I owe a company money. Cloudflare claimed they could see no evidence of abuse. I doubt they employ people so *********** that they can't spot an obvious **** site.
Discovery Bank, still not bothering to try to sort out my credit card while charging me for a card they refused to send.
I went through the process of switching my old Discovery credit card to a Discovery Bank card. I selected the upgrade to a black card because I travel occasionally and access to airport lounges every now and then is useful. Everything went through with no issues, the address for delivery of the card was confirmed and the process concluded. Then Discovery Bank decided to cancel the application with no explanation. So now I'm paying for a card the Discovery Bank has decided it's not going to send me.
They're unable to understand the concept of a phone number not being valid as a means of contacting someone. I have an open ***** case and they keep trying to phone an invalid number. They say I should spend a fortune on time and money sorting on hold on the hopes that someone bothers to answer. I cannot correct the phone number because they refuse to hire competent software engineers. I cannot complain because the complaints email auto-responds that it's not for complaints. Those who respond on hello Peter lie blatantly.
