Appalling! Terrible. The idea of a beach cafe was wonderful, but the service and standards are pathetic!! Ordered a 3 course meal. The starter was ok, main ok. We waited and waited for the dessert and nobody even asked us why we were waiting until they were almost closing, i felt like as if maybe because we paid for our meals already, nobody cared about anything afterwards (we paid before we got meals). After having all the waiters constantly stare at us and walk by, constantly speaking in their language which i understood saying that they all need to go home now to each other, no courtesy to even check on us, i stopped one waiter who looked quite bothered at the fact that i asked him for our waffle which i paid for. 5 minutes later I was then approached by another female waiter, asking for my slip to check if the waffle was on it! She took it away, i saw her bring my waffle 30 minutes later, s took it to a counter to out ice cream on it whilst a male waiter spoke over her and the ice cream and my food! How disgusting especially during this covid time! They had given me my waffle, it was sour! The waffle was sour and hard and rubbery, i wanted to vomit! So did my partner! Made him taste to check if It wasn't just me. We stopped a waiter and complained, he just took it away. No apology! No management! Nothing! Will never come to this place ever again. Will definitely discourage anybody i know to ever come here as well! Upon exiting, there were glass pieces all over a stair! I almost stepped on it! The place was so poorly lit up, nobody bothered to even clean the glass from the stair, i heard something fall like an hour before i exited the place. I've had way better experience at every other restaurant I've been in to! This was my first and definitely my last at this place! Their contact number is 071 433 5699
I've purchased a hyperli voucher for a buffet dinner for 2 in November. I have emailed, sms'd and phoned a lady named marcia to confirm reservations. She then said i could come through. Whilst on my way, She then sent me a message to say i can't come because i haven't made a reservation and also due to catering purposes they won't be able to accommodate us. I then emailed her my hyperli voucher and she said she would redeem it and it would be fine to come this weekend. I am aware that with these places, you need to confirm reservations due to catering purposes. I've been trying to confirm my reservation since yesterday. I've emailed, texted, called all the numbers required to make a reservation and even sent a message on Facebook. I've got no response! This is upsetting because it is my last weekend in durban and i wanted to experience this so-called "amazing" restaurant before i relocate. It would be nice if u could refund me for my voucher since i could not make a reservation! Your booking management if very poor, i would rate it a minus zero if i could. Regards A very upset customer
