WHATEVER YOU DO!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They stole R 1500 of my money! They communicated and said the package was on its way, but then just stopped communicating and not emailing with updates on delivery. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!! I wish I can warn anyone and everyone - do not buy from them!!!!!!
We visited Canal Walk today (Fri 22 Mar 2019) from about 12:00 - 14:30. My husband recently had a foot operation and a kidney procedure, which not only makes moving around difficult (due to the crutches), but also painful due to the invasive kidney procedure. I specifically took him along to Canal Walk, because I knew we would be able to use one of the centre's wheelchairs. I spoke to the VERY disinterested/unhelpful lady at the bottom floor (at Checkers) info booth at around just after 12:00 and she said to me there are no wheelchairs and if I want a wheelchair, I have to go to the info booth in the middle of the mall on the top floor near H&M. She basically stopped listening to me and then picked up the phone and didn't have any conversation with anyone, and the slammed the phone down and told me there were no wheelchairs in the entire mall. Here's how she could have handled it: She could have asked a security guard to bring a wheelchair from the H&M booth to where we were waiting (if she really wanted to help). So we walked all the way to the H&M info booth on the 2nd floor, where there were FOUR wheelchairs!!!!! I got one there for my husband and we went on our way to finish our shopping. When I got back to the H&M info booth (on the 2nd floor near the food court), I asked the lady if I could get my ID back and just drop off the wheelchair at the bottom floor info booth at Checkers, seeing that our car is parked there. She was totally uncooperative and disinterested and just said NO, I HAD TO LEAVE THE WHEELCHAIR THERE (this was about 13:35). So, again my husband had to go on crutches and in pain and walk all the way back to Checkers, because we couldn't take the wheelchair to Checkers bottom floor exit. So, I understand rules are rules, but here is how she could have handled it: She could have asked a Security guard to accompany us to the Checkers bottom floor info booth and then he could have taken the wheelchair from us to ensure that we didn't steal the wheelchair (not like we were planning on doing so anyway). BUT SHE HAD NO INTEREST IN HELPING OR MAKING ANY SORT OF PLAN TO HELP US. If this is how your establishment treats handicapped people (whether temporarily or permanently handicapped), I am shocked and appalled at this - I am not to blame for these two ladies' nasty attitude just because they don't like their jobs or had to work on a Friday when everyone else took a long weekend. This was unacceptable behaviour and you probably won't do anything to them, maybe you will even ignore my complaint - but I don't think in the current economic climate you can afford to lose any clients due to your info booth personnel's rude, incompetent and unhelpful behaviour. I will post this story on all social media platforms, and get the message out there as much as possible - so it might be best to train your 'supposed welcoming information booth staff' to treat the public better (especially the ones with special needs). This is SHOCKING and ABSOLUTELY unacceptable treatment and there is NO logic regarding keeping the wheelchairs only in one spot in the mall. These ladies' behaviour was shocking and lazy and unacceptable - what do other handicapped or aged people do if they enter at the Game or Checkers entrances? They all have to trek to the middle of the mall, because all the wheelchairs are kept there???? This is ridiculous and you need to make better plans to assist people with special needs.
