Do not trust a person called Ricardo Schippers. He is a cabinet maker from Bonteheuvel who does kitchen renovations. He calls his business RS Joinery and Cabinetworx Almost 2 months ago he ****med me out of more than R64 000. The morney was paid to him for the timber, quartz counter tops and labor deposit, however to date he has not pitched up to do any work. He was supposed to start fitting the cupboards on the 9th of October 2025 already, after we did some initial structural renovations. He's modus operandi appears to be taking the people's money and then making constant endless empty promises of 'definitely' starting 'tomorrow', then the next day, then the next day or 'next week', etc. I am also aware of other people who he has ****med, which includes a lady from Goodwood, who he ****med oit of R38 000. She has been waiting since JULY 2025 this year to do the work at her house and it is now the 20th November 2025. Same tactic used, always promising the 'next day', 'next day', next day'...always 'tomorrow', 'tomorrow', 'tomorrow'...Imagine promising 'the next day' since JULY. She is at her wit's end and understandably so. We are also aware of a police woman whom he has ****med, as well as a reputable timber supplier in Montague Gardens.This is a sick individual who seems to have no regard for the devastation he causes by his selfish acts. It seems as if he is used to being in this situation as he appears to be unfazed by any threats of legal action against him so far.
If I could give less than one star I would. I found the after sale service from this used car dealer that I purchased my vehicle from to be absolutely disgusting. I purchased a Nissan Micra from Bargain Autos on Friday 20 December 2019. On Sunday 29 December 2019 the air conditioner of the car stopped working and has not worked since. Then on New Years Day (1 January 2020) the car just would not start. My daughter was driving it at the time and she was left stranded at a friend's place.The car just does not swing at all, but can be kick started when pushed. The battery is strong as all the other functions that uses battery (indicators, hooter, etc - except the air conditioner of course) works. We have tried numerous times, but it just does not start at all. I am no mechanic but to me it seems to be either the starter (which doesn't swing at all) or the immobilizer. I reported the issue to the salesman, Adam, the next day (2 January 2020), at which stage he said he would chat to his manager and revert to me. Unfortunately up until now (today being the 16th January 2020) I have not received any feedback, although I have made numerous phone calls every working day since then in order to follow up. Every time I was told that he was unable to get hold of any managers to assist. It seems they do not want to take any responsibility for the issue despite the fact that I find myself in possession of a useless vehicle that is unable to start with an air conditioner that is not working, after barely a week of purchasing the vehicle. I have sent long email to the manager, Johan Lazarus, appealing for assistance, but my email was just ignored. There strategy is to just ignore me in the hope that I will go away. I've got news for them though, this review is only the beginning. As a consumer I know I have a right to claim damage up to six months after purchasing the vehicle. Their 'after sales service' is therefore not only sickening, selfish, disgusting and inconsiderate, but also illegal. This place should be avoided at all costs.
Good day, I have been trying for almost 2 months to get my money that I paid to Damelin College for my son's registration fees refunded. My son originally registered with Damelin, but due to health reasons we had to cancel. Unfortunately when trying to make the payment the screen on their website gave problems causing me to make the payment twice (R1100 X 2). They do not have a problem doing the refund at all as it was cancelled in time, before any studying commenced, etc. In corresponding with them I have provided all the necessary proof and documents as per their requirement. I have made so many phone calls to the people involved, most notably Mr Shane Shaw, who is supposed to be their "Customer Services Manager". That title appears to be a misnomer in this case. Nobody seems to take responsibility for this very simple task. It just cannot be possible that something that takes 2 days (at most) can end up taking more than one and a half months. After a month and a half they finally refunded only half of my money (I am supposed to be refunded R2200, but they only refunded me R1100). The fight to get my money back continues. I have been given so much empty promises and every time I am given some unacceptable excuse. To wait almost two months to have my money refunded is really really really unacceptable! It is beyond disgusting. I have never received such poor service in my life. In my opinion I have no doubt that they are deliberately withholding the money in order to score interest (at the expense my own interest I could have gained in the bank as well) as i'm sure they do that with many other clients. They will also be losing potential business from me now because I still intended using them in the future, as I do not want to be associated with such poor service again.
