I have been trying to make a withdrawal from my tax free savings account since the 19th of September. To this day, I have not received the funds nor have I received an indication of when I will receive the funds. I have spent over R500 in airtime speaking to consultant after consultant who either cannot pick up my withdrawal request on the system, or blames a separate department and asks me to contact that department MYSELF. I have been told twice that my query is being escalated to managers, Zandile in CIV and Zulfa in personal finance. Neither has ever gotten back to me. I am so demoralised and tired! I never thought I would be experiencing such a problem when trying to withdraw my own money for a personal emergency. I have been warning friends and family not to take out Old Mutual financial products. So far I’ve cancelled my life cover and funeral cover and loved them to Discovery. As soon as the savings withdrawal goes through, I will cancel the account too!
Property Fox showed us an apartment that we liked and upon signing the lease and going for handover, they gave us a different apartment that was not only dirty but had broken cabinets and sliding doors. Basically, the agent tricked us into signing a lease by showing us a good apartment knowing that the one they would give to us was broken. We then had to fight with them to get our refund. When they eventually sent the proof of payment, we realised they had sent it to someone completely different! I'm not sure if this was another trick to frustrate us or if it was a genuine mistake. But I am shocked at the incompetence running all the way through to the CEO!
Shocking! I paid so much money for my room and it has been dirty every day when I walked in. My bed has hardly been made. The carpets are dirty. The countertops are dirty. No one is answering the phones. There is no WiFi. I am shocked. I cannot even cancel.
