**** artists. Paid around R700 for a book. Been almost a year. Ignore my emails. No number. How do we get this business shut down and held accountable?
I canceled my subscription in June. It's November. It's November I mean really. I have probably had a chat/fight with the entire rain call center and they are all useless. Useless.
Firstly I would like to say I have not attended the gym last week. I only used my card to come to the gym to sort out the problems. I will also not be attending the gym from this month even though the debit order has already gone off, I would like it refunded as I have made the decision to cancel with you. March 24th I went to visit a friend in Randburg. I am from Krugersdorp. Training has always been our first priority however we used to gym at different gyms. Every now and again I would train with him at Virgin Active and pay the daily rate. That was my plan on the 24th March 2019. The sales representative asked me why I don’t register and I said to him my goal is to register in the future when I am financially stable and I am happy with my current gym that I pay R300 a month for. He said that if I register now though I wouldn’t have to pay for 2 months, he said I would get 2 months free. 2 months means 60-62 days. I said it sounds like a good deal however I travel a lot as I am doing my studies in China. The Rep then asked whether I had been to China as he would like to do business in China (imports and exports). I said I am also planning to do this and I sent him an email of the product I would like to import that same day. Anyways he said it’s not a problem if I go to China as I could just freeze the account. I mentioned the fact that I go 6 months at a time and my current gym allows me to pay on a monthly basis hence the reason I do not want to leave me current gym. He once again said no problem. Promised already was the 2 months and I could freeze it at anytime no costs involved. However because it was already the 24th, h counted the March month as a free month together with April which in essence is 1 month and 6 days. This already set me back financially and had to borrow the money from my mom. I am going to China within the next 2 months and was planning to freeze it from next month, however head office informed me that I would still have to pay half the amount on a monthly basis whilst I am in China. I am not rich, I am a good payer and a very passionate person, I fight for what I believe in and I refuse to pay for his mistakes. I would either like to get my 2 free months he promised and pause my contract for 6 months without having to pay or a refund for the month of March, June (which I paid for in advance and I will not be attending the gym anymore) and for July as I have paid for July as well and cancel without any fines. Because of his mistake not only is it extremely time consuming and frustrating, I drove through twice from Krugersdorp, I am on a tight budget, I phoned head office yesterday, referred me to the Honedew branch where this matter occured, I then phoned Honeydew branch and they referred me back to head office and head office then referred me back to Honeydew. I phoned honeydew, even though the sales manager gave me his word that he would phone me back in 30 minutes he did not do so and I told the receptionist my name and to remind the sales manager. Still no response. I went to the club again today and no one was able to assist. I was only provided with emails and a promise that I will get a response today. I guarantee you if I came to the gym and he apologized for lying to me or said he didn’t know it was like that either I probably would’ve felt bad but instead he was defending himself knowing very well he was in the wrong know what I paid. He told me I should wait and he will print the statements of which he only printed one receipt. Eventually the manager came and printed all the payments and it was sorted out, yet I had to apologize to the Sales Rep. I would like to either 1. Get what he promised: freeze the account whenever I want without payments when I go to china and my free 2 months 2. OR Cancel and get a refund for March, June, July .
