Active since Jun 2019
I had been corresponding with Mr Riaan Earl from Destiny Holidays since the 11th January 2019 with regards to our Maldives Trip for my birthday in June 2019. I paid a hefty deposit in February and was assured that everything was in order. My suspicions were aroused when Mr Earl could not furnish me with my flight reference and the Hotel in the Maldives had absolutely no evidence of my booking when I contacted them directly to make special arrangements! Destiny Travel could not furnish me with credible answers . On the 09th April 2019 I received a call from Riaan Earle- Destiny Holiday, informing me of vague circumstance surrounding impending trip cancellation and I instructed them to proceed with a refund of my deposit. Between the 9th April to the 2nd May I struggle immensely to make contact with this company and its owner Vincent De Bruyn for prospects of a refund, we went to their physical premises and were told they were no longer there, got another cell no. for Marelise De Bruyn. Telephonic contact led to blatant lies from Vincent De Bruyn with promise of payments being made. I eventually contacted ASATA who mentioned that this Company Destiny Holidays were known for these scams and had been s****ped off ASATA role( although Destiny Holidays website states that they are afiliated! ) They advised me to lay criminal charges of theft and Fraud. Only after Vincent De Bruyn was contacted by Warrent Officer Rossouw From Goodwood SAPS, did he make a full refund!!!
