Hi all .On the 7th November 2017 I took a 24 months contract with Smartcom that i pay about R450 every months .First week of May 2019 I called Smartcom to try arrange for a new SIM card after i damaged the one that was supplied with a phone .In contacting smartcom I was advised that for me to replace the SIM card I must go to a cell c shop to buy a SIM then email a copy of my id with a serial number of the SIM noted on the same page for the SIM card to be activated .I did as i was advised ,then when I call the office to check if all was good I was then told that i need to go back to cell c and ask them to sell me a SIM that is not rickard .I then took time off work again to go ask for the SIM that is not Rickard but cell c told me that sell a SIM and not Ricks the SIM. I then went back to smartcom and explain everything but they insisted that without that they can't assist me .Frustration .....Few days later I call them back to complain and then the promised that they will then send me a SIM and I must jst call them once i received it for activation .A week went without a SIM. Then I called again to follow up ,then I was told it was dispatched to a courier they will check and let me know .No one called .Another week went ,I then called again and I was told they now can not trace it ,I the ask to order another SIM on a monday and I told the sales lady that on the 7th I must have the SIM as I've been frustrated by smartcom .On Friday the 7th I called and I was told I will receive it soon .Then I ask for the supervisor or manager but told they not available. Later same day a lady manager called to say all the stories I got from her staff was wrong information .They were suppose to charge me R100 to order a new SIM. After all these weeks to be told this neusence at the end .Very bad customer service .Very disappointed with smartcom .
