In 2018 I sold my house and moved abroad. I tried to cancel my my Telkom service in May 2018 and was told I can only do so at the end of June 2018. I then cancelled my service by handing in my firms at a Telekom branch. The branch accepted the forms. When I called telkom to confirm that they had received my forms, I was advised that I had to cancel online. Which I then did. Telkom kept my account active for 2 more months after that and have been trying to get the money from me ever since. I have called Telkom from abroad. I have sent friends on my behalf to Telkom. I have emailed documents to them and been advised 2 years ago that this was settled. I am now receiving threatening texts on a mobile phone still registered in SA, from an attorney demanding payment !!!! Come on Telkom!!! Get your act together.
I have been trying for 5 years to get 50% of this policy paid out to me in terms of a divorce settlement. Liberty simply refuses to do so. and every time they refuse, they give e different reason.
WHAT EVER YOU DO, DON'T TAKE YOU LOVED ONES TO THIS OLD AGE HOME. THE MANGER IS IS BIGGEST BULLY EVERY AND THIS ATTITUDE FILTERS DOWN TO HER STAFF. THE FOOD IS BAD, THE CARE IS BAD, THE PEOPLE ARE ARROGANT AND UNHELPFUL. GOOD LUCK COMPLAINING IF ANYTHING GETS STOLEN, OR IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH ANY PART OF THEIR SERVICE, YOU ARE TOLD TO TAKE YOU PARENTS ELSEWHERE. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK TO OTHER RESIDENTS AS THEY ARE THEN REGARDED AS SPIES BY THE STAFF. EMAILS GO UNANSWERED, 99% OF THE TIME. THE PLACE IS SHOCKING.
MY MOTHER HAS DIED AND I CANNOT GET THEM TO CANCEL THE PREMIUM DEDUCTION I HAVE ASKED THEM FOR A FIANL ACCOUNT. I HAVE PROVIDED A POWER OF ATTORNEY AND A DETH CERTIFICATE, THEY DO NOT REPLY, BUT CONTINUE TO DEDUCT THE CONTRIBUTION EVERY MONTH.
