We had a fantastic stay at Shad Shack over the weekend with my family. The place was absolutely lovely, cozy, clean, and in a perfect location for exploring Margate. The owner was exceptional, professional, polite, and so kind. He made us feel really welcome and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. I also want to mention that the pictures online do not do this place justice, it is outstandingly beautiful in person. If you’re planning a visit to Margate, I highly recommend Shad Shack—it’s a gem!
I placed an order with Marci Franc on 19 December 2025 and my items were never delivered. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I received no response whatsoever — no acknowledgement, no update, no resolution. It has now been nearly 3 months since my order and I am still waiting. This is not how any legitimate business operates. Paying customers deserve basic communication, especially when an order goes unfulfilled. The complete lack of response and failure to deliver purchased goods is unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone against ordering from Marci Franc. Based on my experience, you risk losing your money with nothing to show for it.
A team was sent to inspect my geyser, and they concluded that nothing was wrong with it, suggesting instead that the issue might be electrical. Subsequently, an electrician, Mr. Nico Koekemoer, was assigned to the case. Unfortunately, his service was extremely unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. Even more concerning, after both visits, my issue remained unresolved.
Poorest service ever, not to mention the incompetencies of the assessor and the claims manager. Almost a month and i’m yet to get a response from the complains department, this is a classical example of moral decay... they don’t care about their customers. There are only 2 well trained departments at Outsurance, new business and the retention department. Hope you guys will eventually invest in other departments as much as you do in these other 2. You’d rather spend money on advertising lies than looking after your existing customers. What a bitter customer experience, shame on you.
