I decided to purchase a second hand BMW from Auric auto Cape Town. Thinking that this is a BMW dealership the vehicles they sell will be in good condition. I spoke to Raees Martin who is the second hand sales person. He sent me pictures of the vehicle which looked in very good condition. We went over the car on the phone before delivery and the only issue that had been mentioned was the clear coat that was peeling on the front right bumper and the front left mat that was missing from the vehicle which he said he will replace. When I received the vehicle I didnt have a chance to inspect it until the weekend which was within the seven day that I had received the vehicle. I went through the vehicle and found that the smash and grab that I payed for was not done correctly, there were bubbles and holes on all windows. The break light inside the vehicle was coming off. The back left tail light was loose as well. The front of the vehicle was resprayed. I sent emails within the seven days to the sales person with regards to all the faults on the vehicle. I received no response from Auric auto, I further advised vai email that I would like to cancel the deal and I am no long interested in keeping the vehicle. Raees said they cannot and were willing to fix it. I took it to a BMW approved panel beater and got a quote of R20000 and Raees said it was too expensive to fix. I told them that let me choose another vehicle. After about a week the sales person got back to me with much delay, they showed me a few cars. I chose a vehicle and kept asking are there any issues with the vehicle and he kept saying I am not sure. When the deal got close he then decided to check the system and tell me that the vehicle was in accident. I decided to choose another vehicle and that vehicle was damaged as well. I there after decided to take legal action and got a lawyer to sort the issue out. The lawyer issued a letter of cancellation to Auric auto. The dealer principle refused to take the car back. If Auric auto was honest enough to advise me on the condition of the vehicle I would have never purchased the vehicle. I am really frustrated and will not deal with another BMW dealership again. Dont deal with Auric auto. They sell accident damaged vehicles and they are abunch of lairs.
