I was contacted via call centre marketing claiming to offer predictive trading software with guaranteed results. The salesperson falsely claimed to represent OctaFX and directed me to their website, when in fact the product is from AimX, with no affiliation. The app was described as selecting stocks before they rise and included a “4% uptick” buying feature, which does not exist. The product offers no unique value—just data from free sources like TradingView and Yahoo Finance. The contract restricts refunds and requires use of a simulation for 6 months before qualifying for one, which is only granted if you don’t earn a 40% theoretical profit. I wasn’t allowed to access the product or training within the 5-day cooling-off period. I’m now forced to pay R520 monthly for a product that provides me with no value, in order to claim my refund in 6 months. The only good thing about AimX is William, who tried to train me before realising pretty quickly that I don't need training in trading.0 replies
