Octa
Based on recent customer reviews, Octa receives sharply divided feedback from South African traders. Satisfied customers consistently mention competitive trading costs, no swap fees, the Islamic account option, and useful tools like AI trend lines and OctaVision integration. However, a recurring theme among dissatisfied customers centres on withdrawal difficulties, delayed deposit processing, repetitive document requests, and reliance on automated chat agents with limited human support. Frustration is amplified when expired cards or third party deposits trigger refund disputes, leaving customers feeling their funds are inaccessible despite providing requested verification.

Bad customer after service, Octa is good on many levels but make sure you don't make a mistake when you do your deposit because to get a refund from them it's a pain. I have been requesting a refund from them since the 12th of March 2026 and to date they have not refunded me. Every time you send a communition you deal with a different person and the whole process starts afresh. I have between 51 emails with them and with different agents and it's a nightmare. I have submitted all documents they need and to date still no refund. The last communication says I must wait for thirty days before the refund, mind you I have already been waiting for a month already. The AI agents system does not work, and the fact there is no contact number I can call direct it's a nightmare. Right now I am so frustrated with them and I don't know what to do anymore.

I was contacted via call centre marketing claiming to offer predictive trading software with guaranteed results. The salesperson falsely claimed to represent OctaFX and directed me to their website, when in fact the product is from AimX, with no affiliation. The app was described as selecting stocks before they rise and included a “4% uptick” buying feature, which does not exist. The product offers no unique value—just data from free sources like TradingView and Yahoo Finance. The contract restricts refunds and requires use of a simulation for 6 months before qualifying for one, which is only granted if you don’t earn a 40% theoretical profit. I wasn’t allowed to access the product or training within the 5-day cooling-off period. I’m now forced to pay R520 monthly for a product that provides me with no value, in order to claim my refund in 6 months. The only good thing about AimX is William, who tried to train me before realising pretty quickly that I don't need training in trading.

Bank Deposits with this broker have been issue for a year now with no resolution except an apology after days or weeks of screaming and shouting. As traders we loose valuble time on the market while fighting for this broker to credit our trding accounts. This is a 4th incident I am having with them in 6 months. No explanation from Octa why in this time and age they issues processing deposits in time. To make matters worse we using their South African bank to deposit so generally this should be a smooth process of them veryfying the transaction and credit the funds to the right customer account. No compernsation for lost time is instituted, no clear explanation why they battle or have issues that take days and weeks to process, chat bot and human agents are not available to assist, basically customer service is a fallacy in their opinion. I dont how they expect to capture the South African market with this shoddy service.

I submitted a withdrawal request of $242...$242 and was only informed that I now needed to provide documentation proving deposits... I submitted the very same documents I was asked to submit months ago when I did the deposits and were accepted without issue. Specifically, a statement from the bank, something I have already provided with a detailed breakdown of every line item, matching it up to their system's deposit code to make things easier and also show that every deposit is accounted for. Not only that, they have asked for proof of deposits I made via crypto. They are now saying that this is not enough proof and that I need to show it on my bank statement. Why request by specifically naming the required information (wallet address, transaction ID, etc) if you are just going to come back and ask for a bank statement that is not relevant to the transaction in any way, shape or form!!!!

I was really impressed by their sales team, but even more so by their professional approach. I signed up for the program, but unfortunately had to cancel for personal reasons. The AimX Trading team was notified within the 5 day cool down period, and I returned their software sealed as is required. They had no problems with refunding me after completing the necessary paperwork. Yes, the refund does come with some costs, which are clearly stipulated on the agreement... Every decision has its price... I may consider their program in future, should my personal situation improve again.

As a user of the Aimx Platform, I do not believe this product is worth the price at all for the following reasons: - AimX does NOT have ANY live trading platform - AimX does NOT offer commission-free trading on real-world trading as they only offer a simulation trading platform where fictional money is traded. - The "live" platform they refer to in their contract refers to a third-party platform called Alpaca, and on this platform, you are limited to 3 commission-free trades per week, after which you pay. AimX does not have any affiliation with this platform, and users can sign up for free to this on their own if they wish to. - The "gainers" info Aimx claims to provide is taken directly from TradingView and can be obtained for free online from this site. - The training provided by Aimx consultants was extremely poor and did not help me with trading stocks. Everything that Aimx offers is available for free on any other demo trading account and on TradingView, and YouTube videos will give you far better knowledge about trading than their consultants will. Definitely not worth the price in my opinion.
