I took out a contract in July 2020. The wrong device was delivered. A day or two later I returned the device to MTN Somerset Mall with ref IRMS305387. The request to deactivate was logged with rewardsco ref # 3344972. After 6 months MTN finally stopped trying to debit my account but this has shown up on my profile as a non payment. Everything was done as per MTN and Rewardsco and still my credit profile was affected. Numerous requests were made 1. # 1-2583844319 2. # 1-60804933972 3. # 1-8544778528 On 3 November 2021 i went back to MTN Somerset Mall as advised by MTN "service champion". The store manager (very friendly and also logged the dispute #ref 1-10092678392) gave a detailed printout and the following was picked up: The device was returned in July 2020. Account balance was R0 @ 26 Jan 2021 12 March 2021 MTN send me a INV for R700.01 INV Ref "Device". I gave the device back more than a year ago. The account was R0 on 26 Jan 2021 and MTN sends me an INV for the device I don't have on 12 March 2021. After following up on the matter today 8 November 2021 I was given another reference number 1-10323634396. Their "service champions" cannot assist you whatsoever. Service is non existent and nobody can sort out this mess. I have been handed over to attorneys (Shapiro Shaik) for something i dont have. Please MTN sort out this nonsense.
This is a total scam. Andrew is very eager to sell a product and then goes MIA. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY OR THIS BUSINESS. Regards
