I'd like to lay a formal complaint about the people that came to fix my neighbour's wifi today on Saturday 11th of January 2025 around 2pm in Newlands East, Durban. I asked them a few questions regarding a previous contractor that had installed my house. I was not aggressive, I just asked so that I could get clarity and understanding. I was satisfied with their response although I could tell they were annoyed that I had asked in the first place. My complaint is that they left my wifi red although they were not working on my wifi. I was lucky to catch them before they left because one of them was saying "quickly let's leave " as soon as they saw me coming out to ask about my wifi. Of course they ended up fixing my wifi after I now confronted them but I have no doubt their intention was to leave me without wifi only because I'd queried something earlier. They were 5 indian males driving a blue tazz registration number that start with ND 4** ***. I obviously took the whole number plate but for security reasons would rather not add the whole number here. I'm only putting it for identification purposes
I went to Maizey Durban North uncertain if I'll even find what I was looking for as it was a product I'd only learnt of through YouTube. Thank you to Thalente for his incredible patience and also his manager who assisted when it came to delivery. Exceptional customer service overall
I visited Pick n Pay Cornubia this morning to do some shopping and since I wanted some empty boxes I started by going to the manager to request if he would be able to assist. When I asked him he said ok, stood up and proceeded to walk away and I assumed he was helping me but halfway he turned back towards me and said the boxes have been flattened out so you won't be able to use them. I said flat or not I'll be able to use them for what I need them. He then changed his story said no they are wet. I told him now I don't understand what he is saying then he said with an attitude we recycle our boxes that's what I'm saying. Then his own staff member said go to Checkers and they'll help you. I went to Checkers and within a few minutes after my shopping the boxes were ready for me to collect. My disappointment in this entire encounter is not so much about boxes but if Pick n Pay can't assist a paying customer with something FREE then your entire ethos of four legs of a table with customer sovereignty is nothing but a sham. And if your own staff member refers a customer to your competitors then as a company you have failed. Teach your managers better Pick n Pay. A simple "we don't have any boxes right now" would have been sufficient instead of blatant lies and an attitude
