I bought a hair by May (3) wigs and i only received one wig, when i make a follow up on the two outstanding the lady blocked me and even to date i haven't hear from her. Good Morning hellopeter I have a very sad story to tell about the Insuarance Company that i thought it was the best and reliable. 2018 I took a funeral cover with 1Life ensuring my mother and brother since i'm the bread winner at home. 28 November 2020 my Policy was amended for premium to deduct January and also due to me not able to afford the policy in the past months and the condition to it was with no waiting period which was in agreement. Around the 13th January 2021 I personally phoned 1Life to amend my debit account to FNB as previously was debiting from Capitec. On the same day the consultant advised me that our conversation and such amendment is on record and wanted to confirm if i allow 1Life to take two premium as having one month in arrears which i permitted them to do so and our telephonic confirmed deduction of 1100 and couple of cents. The following day the 14th January 2021, I called them that yesterday afternoon i was told that my mom passed on and i would want to be assisted with lodging a claim. The consulted told me that they will help me as soon I'm in possession of death certificate and we concluded the call. On the 15th i was able to secure the death certificate and i called them again. The consultant advised me to confirm certain information on the dearth certificate she was processing the claim on the system. Just after a while she gave me a feedback that my claim my claim was declined as still being on a waiting period. I then advised her that she must verify what is telling me as my policy status is on zero waiting period which she rectified such alteration. Subsequent to that she again said that they will submit my claim for assessment, and they will come back to me. I waited till i could not be assisted and had to borrow money from my colleagues and family members. I was able to gather thirty thousand to cover the cost of a coffin and catering for the funeral in a short space of time as the burial was for the 19th January (Tuesday). On the 23rd i've went through my emails and 1life sent through some documents, one of them was regret Letter stating the ground for claim rejection being that my Policy was amended after the passing of my mom and they even send two amended Policy documents such amendments, one for the 14th which included my mom and and the one for the 17th January excluded my mother and the premium being adjusted without my concern. I literally cried seeing all their brutality. It is on this note I've decided to share my sad story with you on what 1Life has done to me without fear of being victimization and also to help me getting a closure. for reimbur*****t of my policy as owing me R50 000.
