I write this review with utter disappointment and complete loss of confidence regarding the transparency and proffesionalism of Legacy education institution in South Africa. In October 2014 I attended the presentation on property investing which was a sales pitch to further attend the 2 day training workshop on in-depth property investing. At a cost of R13 000 I signed up. I was informed I could bring a friend to the 2 day workshop which was held at the Radisson Blu in Sandton in January of 2015. This workshop pretty much tilted towards investing in property in the UK as most of the scenarios used were based on the UK property market dynamics. At the end of the workshop we were presented with options to further training and personal coaching and this came at a hefty price. We took the plunge and signed up . Collectively I paid R90 000 for me and my friend. 2 months down the line I got informed of imminent retrenchment which then happened in May 2015. My friend whose main dependant is her mother fell ill that same year and till to date fully looks after her mother who is elderly amd frail. As a result had no choice but to renege on proceeding with training. On my part I hung on hoping to get another job but as life would have it that wasn't the case. I lost my home, cars and during the course of mid 2016 I informed Legacy education of the situation at hand and requested that they look into this matter and possibly try to work out an arrangement to retrieve the funds i had paid for training. I took into account that these misfortunes had occured after the 7 day cool off period from the date of payment. It was a mammoth task to get prompt responses from them. It even took me close to 6 weeks to have them E-MAIL me my copy of the contract. Fast forward to May 2017 after there was back and forth communication, the CEO of the South Africa office responded in an arrogant email informing that I would not receive any refund and that rather once I am employed, I can then revert back to the company and continue training. Honestly I feel cheated on. I have bills to pay, a family to.look after. It has not been easy to find formal employment in my field of work. To this present day I have to hustle as survival is key. I don't think their recommendation of living things to chance until the next best thing happens holds any water. Not a single day for the last 2 and a half years have I heard from these people. No show of any effort . And this is an institution that one is expected to get value for money services? I don't think so. I will never recommend anyone to fork out a dime on this organization's services and products. I am deeply disappointed in the manner they have conducted themselves.
