Home Affairs incorrectly stated that my father was Married on his death certificate, instead of a Widower. Because my father's estate is being settled out of SA, this was a huge problem. I contacted Lara after waiting for 2 months for Home Affairs to respond to my emails to rectify the situation. Despite having been down there to submit all documentation (systems were offline, and they asked me to email them in). No response to emails, no help when going back down to find out if the documentation had even been logged. Lara had the death certificate amended within 5 days - as promised. Excellent service! And a huge weight off my shoulders. Thank you, Lara.
I placed an order in early December 2023. I have contacted them every month for an update and continue to be told that the shipping backlog in Durban harbour was the reason for the delay. A month ago, I asked for a refund and was told it had been forwarded to the finance department. I am still waiting for any form of communication regarding the refund. Absolutely terrible customer service and would not recommend them.
I phoned Phonecity today to ask a question related to a Takealot query I had. Jonathan, who took my call, has been unbelievably helpful, quick to respond, and answered all my queries without hesitation. It has taken less than 3 hours, and I have been called to say my phone is on the way, and I'll receive it on Monday (today is Friday). Thanks must also go to every single person I have dealt with thus far, from the switch board, to the lady who called to confirm my phone has been dispatched.
