Kreepy Krauly Dominator BAD PRODUCT BAD SERVICE
Kreepy Krauly Dominator - Stay away!!! I bought a Kreepy Krauly Dominator at Makro Oct 2018 and it has 2 year warrantee. Just over a year later, the unit does not clean one side of the pool at all and just turns in circles. It is still within the 2 year warrantee period and I contacted Pentair to report the problem (they didn’t respond to the email). They sent me to a pool shop in a neighboring town so that the unit can be assessed. It took the Dominator representative almost a week to give feedback and he said that they won't pay for the repair because it is faulty due to "wear and tear" and not a manufacturing problem. The repair cost is +-R1150. Apparently the suction of the pool pump is not right. The pool has been built last year and was used for the first time in Oct2018. The pool contractor tested the pump with the installation and it was within the correct ranges. No one tampered again with the pool since then. The assessor only said that he did his own test (on the unit alone - not the pump) and according to him, it must be the suction. For him to test the suction of the pool at my house will cost me an additional R500 call out fee! I bought a unit to clean my pool with a 2 year warrantee. Within two year the unit is not doing what it is supposed to be doing and Pentair does not want to keep to their warrantee. I am extremely disappointed!!
