Yaseen at Silverlakes was very good and assisted us without any issues
Thank Tshepo Letageng from silver lakes for the great service
The worst Dealership I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. My wife applied for finance which was declined, but they took it upon themselves to apply for finance in my name. That should have been enough to scare me off, but we really wanted this particular car. Needless to say, we proceeded with the deal. The lady that handled our finance was a breath of fresh air but as it turns out, that was going to be as good as it gets. Once we collected the vehicle we noted several minor problems. We listed these problems over the next couple of days, returned the vehicle with a list of issues, about 10 or 12 of them. About two weeks later we got the car back with a big smile from the Sales Agent, claiming that all the issues have been taken care of. None of them were taken care of! We also noticed that the mileage had increased severely. It is a nice car so we figured someone there probably took it for a couple of joy rides. Then the car came up with a warning sign to check the water/coolant level. It took 2.5l of water to fill. One week later we got the same message and again it took almost 3l to fill up. There were no obvious leakages so our Mechanic at my workplace suggested that we return the car since it obviously had a serious engine problem. Let’s just say this is the sort of car you do not want an engine problem with. So we took it back, this time we took a photo of the odometer prior. This was in December. I am writing this review in late January. We do not have the car back and no one can tell us where the car is. It would seem as if the car has been sold again but what we know for sure is that it has “disappeared”. When we spoke to the finance lady, we were told that we would have to pay 33K to cancel the deal (we never even asked to cancel the deal). I got hold of the bank that financed the vehicle, whom up until this stage had never been in communication with me whatsoever, this despite four installments already having been paid. Turns out the contact info they have for me, was actually that of the dealership. So here is where I stand at the moment: I do not have the car, I do not know where it is, I have paid 4 installments on it, I am still paying insurance on this car (too scared to cancel) and no one who seems to be able to offer me any sort of assistance. The case is now with the Ombudsman who I am still waiting to hear from. Come back for the next chapter of my story of horrors but whatever you do, do not purchase a vehicle from M&S Motorlink or you may be the next unsuspecting victim.
